TRV & Study Permit extension after passport renewal from outside canada

My TRV and based on it my Study Permit was issued till January,2018 since my passport is valid till then.
Now I need to renew my passport to enable me to renew my residence/visa for Kuwait because they do not issue residence/visa if your passport is not valid for at least a year. I am an Indian Citizen based in Kuwait as my parents are working here.
my problem is that when the new passport is issued & Kuwait residence stamped on it, how will I go back to Canada?
My BBA program is from September,2016 to June ,2020.
MY TRV & Study Permit is till January,2018.
How do I get my TRV & Study Permit extended up to June,2020 on my new passport?
Do I apply for a new Study Permit?
OR do I apply for a new TRV only and extend my SP in Canada but then the present SP has my old passport number.
Can I extend my SP outside Canada because on the website I can see instructions for extension only within Canada.
Here I had applied for my SP to the Visa office in Abu Dhabi, UAE thru VFS Kuwait as Canadian Embassy here is not handling visas.
I know it is a bit complicated but I could not find any specific answer on CIC.

Please advice.

i cant answer your question but for the passport you just have clip the new and the old passport together..or glue it any where u go present the two
