Hi!

So my girlfriend tried to apply for TRV but we received the rejection today because of the following reasons:
- Travel History
- Financial assets
- Not enough funds

My girlfriend travelled to the following countries
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Hong Kog
- Macau
- Japan

I know this isn’t a lot but she doesn’t want to travel to far places if I won’t be coming with her.

She has 10,000CAD in her account. She owns a travel agency, has an apartment for rent and she purchased a condo unit which she pays monthly for rental purposes. We have attached all these documents.

She will only stay 2 weeks amd we have uploaded a day to day itinerary which is not even costly. I also mentioned that she will be staying with me and my grandparents so she’s not gonna be paying for the accommodation.

I don’t know where we went wrong.. :( I really want her to visit me this August. Any tips???

I just ordered the notes for her and I know it’s going to take 30 days for it so your insight will be appreciated.

- Travel History
- Personal assets and Financial status
- I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.

Those were the refusal reasons.

Her travel history doesn't include countries similar to Canada that would require a visa like the US, UK, Australia, various European countries through Schengen, etc.

Is the $10000 her account or her business account? Should probably show each account and how much is in each. Savings is the only one that is really important for approval. It is a good amount of money but may also fund her business. Although she intends to stay only 2 weeks and will not have to pay for hotel and other stuff she must show she can pay for the whole vacation if for some reason she had to. Paying for airfare and the entire trip herself would use a large portion of her savings. In general she will be using a large portion of her savings for a 2 week trip.. What was the purpose of her visit? I would assume that there is concern that she will not return to hr home country and you will get married and apply inland. Does she have family members that are dependent on her more than financially? Does she have any travel or event booked for after she returns (don't book anything to try and get the visa)? Does she have any business-related event that she must return for? How can she leave her business for 2 weeks? Why does she need to get back to her business? Those are my best suggestions. Best of luck.

The thing is both of us are in a same sex relationship, we clearly stated that this will just be a visit since we are not out and we are never planning to get married because we don't want to go to marriage considering our families and religion but would like to at least spend some time woth each other from time to time.

Her business has an operations manager and an admin assistant who can run the biz while she is here. Her family has their own business as well plus her father is working as an engineer.

We also stated that she needs to come back because she will be going for a family trip and gave booking info,
As for travel, well she really isnt interested in going since we always go together.

So right now I was telling her that maybe I'll try to sponsor her as a conjugal partner. We've been in a relationship for almost 5 yrs. We have a joint account but we just started last Nov. We also have a condominium unit which we are paying and named under us.

Do you think that will pass? If I can sponsor her then she can become PR and she can go back and forth to Canada if she really doesn't want to stay here.

Did you tell the visa office of your same sex relationship and the family and religious challenges of the relationship??

Hi, yes I did.. I clearly stated it in my invitation letter and in her explanation letter as well. I guess that's why we were not rejected for the purpose of visit. We indicated we just want to visit each other but we are not out and since we'll be staying with my relatives, then it is impossible for us to get married even or for her to stay longer.

Ok... because of that the visa officer may have seen it as a potential red flag and a potential asylum seeker because of the fact that were you come from it is difficult or culturally not possible for you to be able to be together...

An request of the case notes will probably reveal more about the decision made ....

Hmmm I see.. That might be it because we did put some proof of relationship as well for the application. Do you think we can qualify for conjugal sponsorship though? My arrival as PR was just this January. Our relationship is almost 5 yrs already and we can provide evidences of our relationship as well but there's just 2 people who knows of our relationship.
