HELP needed from Experts

I am a foreign worker on Valid closed workpermit and my spouse on Open work permit. Our Multiple entry visas are expired

1- I believe we can travel to USA ( as i have B1/B2 visa) and come back without Multiple Entry Visa (TRV) , is that correct ?

2- I am planning to go to Buffalo consulate in-person to apply for Multiple entry Visa . Can anyone please tell me how many days will it take if I apply in person from Buffalo ? (I am planning for a trip to my home country in Asia )

Thanks

1. Yes as long as you return from either the US or St. Pierre et Miquelon within the validity of your work permits.
2. Depends as you are from a scheduled country, there is an extra 10 day waiting period. There is no guarantee that it will be issued in a day. Only 37% of Buffalo's are processed in 2 days.

Thanks PMM for all this help.

I have few more questions - I hope you will help me out here as well

Is only principal applicant required for In-person Multiple entry visa application or my spouse also needs to come/travel along with me to consulate?

I have read that in Detroit - Multiple entry Visa is given in 1 day . Can , I go to Detroit rather than Buffalo ? ( I stay in Toronto and Buffalo is closer than Detroit)

Following questions related to Form IMM 5257

Question -8 :- Immigration status of applicant in country where applying

As, I will be applying in USA I should mention Temporary Resident ( I have B1/B2) Visa .Also, My Spouse and I have different "Valid until date" for B1/B2 visa - which date should i put - Principal applicant's(i.e mine) B1/B2 expiry date?

Thanks again for all your help. :)

I guess experts are busy in higher priority queries . so here are the answers after checking with call center

Applicant can go to any place -Detroit or Buffalo ( preference near to the area where you live)

If an interview is required then all applicants can be required for an interview ( excluding childrens age less than 18)

if applicant is going to USA -Canadian consulate then Q-8 should show status in US
