TRV or PR sponsorship(or both together) - Which one is a better option for my baby born outside Canada?

Both my husband and I are Canadian PRs. My husband is currently working in Canada since Mar 2021. My baby was born in India. We were able to get his passport issued by Jan 2021. We applied for a TRV for our baby on 22nd Feb 2021 and since then, we've had a medical exam(15th may) and no update after that. I have been reading other threads on this forum wherein many times people are sharing cases of TRV being rejected and sometimes, no response at all for several months.
We were wondering if
1. applying for a PR sponsorship for our baby would be a good idea at this stage? and
2. would it affect the TRV processing in any way?
We don't want the authorities to hold/cancel on the TRV processing just because a PR application is also in process. At the same time, we are worried that due to the extended waiting time on the TRV, we may be waiting indefinitely.
We are eager for our family to reunite(preferably in Canada), hence I am reaching out to all of you to help please. Many thanks in advance!

1. Yes, if your husband is in Canada, then you should submit an application to sponsor your child for PR asap since you don't know if the TRV application will be approved.
2. No, this won't impact the TRV application

I am not absolutely sure what RO compliant means, so I will share some info here about our PR journey. Kindly let me know if we've been PR compliant or not.
My husband and I did our soft landing in Toronto in Jan 2020. Got our PR cards in the next few weeks. We were unable to travel back to Canada after that for a year because of my pregnancy and also Covid. My husband travelled to Canada in Mar 2021 on an international transfer from his company and is currently based and working in Mississauga. I am in India with our son, waiting for the TRV.

Yes you are compliant with your RO since you can still meet the 730 days within the first 5 years since your landing. You should start the sponsorship process asap. Processing should pick up now that couriers for stamping have started again. As long as you have flagged the TRV application as someone who meets the travel exemption there is nothing else you ca do but wait.
