TRV Online Applicant decision time

Any idea about what time CIC/CHC is taking now days against decision of TRV M Online applicants here in Islamabad / Pakistan

If you are applying online, I don't think it matters which country you live in. My understanding is that all online applications go to a centeralized location (possibly Ottawa?). If anyone knows something different, tell us.

Hello guys
My mother sent her online on Aug 6,2013. friend of mine got his decision in about 5 weeks, also applied Online. I think Online application takes 2/3 more time than paper.
And O_guy, I think you are right, initially all online app. goes to Ottawa and worked on and then pass this to related consulates. Thanks.

If they all go a centralized location, the processing time should be same if applied from anywhere in the world.

2. Is it possible to submit TRV application in a third country with shorter processsing time (which is not your residence)
Any thoughts??

I applied online on 31st July and on 6th Aug I got passport submission request.

I got a letter from them requesting my original passport 18 hours after I submitted my online application

im from the Philippines but I applied online. I believe that all application online will all be processed in Ottawa. coz the letter I received was not from Manila. but I submitted my passport in Manila though after I received the letter.

einahpets85, 18 hours is very fast. Are you visiting for business? And how did you receive the letter? If you applied online as you indicated, you would not receive a "letter".

Applied online from Somalia on Thursday morning. Got a response within 4 hours via the myCIC page requesting that I send my passport via DHL to the Nairobi visa office. DHL was received in Nairobi today morning. Now awaiting the return of the passport.

Very quick and efficient process so far.
