TRV - Inside Canada | Applied Feb 28, No Passport Request Yet

Hello,

My wife is on a valid work permit, and now she has applied for TRV as she wants to go out of country and come back, So she applied on 28th Feb and hasn't got a passport request yet. My Buddy applied on 27th Feb and he got passport request in 3 days. So i just wanted to know if anybody is on the same boat as me. Or why is it taking so much time.

Just 2 weeks in? Be patient. if you reach 8 weeks then you can worry.

We'll from previous experiences, it had been 3 day before they request passport and two of my friends applied on 27th Feb & #rd march respectively. They got passport requested in 3 days to be precise. That is why i am worried.

Somehow got a refund from CIC for 100$ whixh is the fee of the TRV,
No status update. Not sure what that is.

You will have to contact them. Keep checking myCIC for updates.

Well, they refunded me back on my credit card for 100$ yesterday and no reply has been posted yet on the myCIC account. so i am worried. Did they ask for any information from you? like a marriage certificate or something? or did you attach anything else apart from what was asked?

They haven't requested any additional information. I called them twice and they said they are processing the application. I think you should contact them directly. they will be able to explain why you were refunded. Let me know if you hear something new. i am still waiting.

The wait time is terribly long, i got cut off twice yesterday. maybe will try calling today.

it will be a month today i am waiting for my wife's TRV, does anybody have any suggestion that i can follow? She is on a PGWP. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like they cancelled the application. Have you tried calling the call centre? That's your last resort.

I tried calling them last week, they said, it has not been cancelled and they send some kind of request to the office that it has passed processing time. not sure what to do? should we withdraw the application then?

The refund might be the handling charge, as we had applied through a lawyer, the refund is not specific to this case.
