RE-POST, earlier post seems not active!!

==============
My MiL is visiting my SiL in Canada with a TRV. She got a B1/2 as well and wants to visit us in USA. After few weeks she plans to travel back to Canada and later go back home from there.

Last time when she did this same routine she had a TRV for 3 mos but the admission seal to Canada had a date for allowing 6 mos stay. And the original visa was cancelled with a pen strike. This gave us confidence that she could travel back to Canada from USA and she did just that w/ no prob.

This time the Canada TRV was for 6 mos but the entry seal do not have a date, NOR the visa was struck across with pen!
So my assumption is that her visit is valid only for the original visa terms which expire in April 2014. (our tht was they'll give her 6 mos from entry date but since she came after 2 mos from visa issue date she got only about 4 mos stay!!) :eek:
The TRV is for multiple entry.

I am bit concerned why the entry seal to Canada do not have a date for authorized stay? Do they do like that sometime so the entry is valid only for the visa term?
She plan to enter USA in Feb. and would go back to Canada in March, do you think she will be ok to re-enter?

I'd like to welcome some input from those of you who are well versed with Canada port of entry visa requirements.

Cheers!

The Multiple entry TRV will have a valid to date, she can continue to use it up till that date.

CORRECTION: The Canada TRV is only for SINGLE entry, V-1 category (Last time too it was single)

I blv that one could go back and forth US-Canada and enter Canada if still the original visa expiration is not past. (OR the date allowed on entry seal is not past) am I correct?

The US visa is valid till '18 and a multi entry.

If say one apply for an extension of stay in Canada for 6 mo s and it is granted, can one still travel to US and come back to Canada on the strength of that extension (approval) paper work? (is that paperwork called 'Visitor Record'?)

Can someone pl clarify?

Thx
