TRV from Pakistan-Comments

Is there permanent resident around from Pakistan who got a TRV for their dependent child from Canada embassy in Islamabad. I am just wondering if any one of you have got TRV for your child and what was the circumstances and process. I have contacted the embassy but was told to go through the sponsor process of submitting application inside Canada and it will take at least six months from Islamabad to process the visa once the sponsor approval recieved from Canada.

To get a TRV you have to convince the consulate your child intends to go to Canada only for a visit.

You should just go for sponsorship, since it's going to take so little time and that's your intention anyway.

Thank you very much dear thaiguy for your response. Yes my intention is sponsorship and permanent residence of my son too. However, I was trying to get TRV and then process the case for permanent residence from inside Canada. I thought that for a minor child who can not leave without his mother, embassy would not have any objection on issuing TRV but contrary to that I was to told to go through the process of sponsorship. I think there should be some relaxation in cases of minor children.
