TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

So… how many days passed since you applied this way and any update yet on your application?

I applied on Oct 14th and no updates so far. I raised a crisis webform before making this 2nd application (I have a health emergency and need to travel) and the response I got was that they can only provide authorization letter for travelling when there's a valid travel document already present. They noted that since my (first) visitor visa application was still under process they couldn't help. Additionally, on that email they added a link to the IRCC Portal and recommended me to apply again if I applied for my first application before Sept 7th. My first application was made on Jan 4th, 2021. This is why I used the portal - now I'm a bit confused if I've done the right thing or not. I'll have to wait and see I guess.

Yaah I also got a similar response today… now I am wondering when will they actually withdraw and atleast start reviewing my 2nd application… it has already crossed a month now since I applied.

I did an inland application on 27th October. Im currently on Open work Permit and my eligibility review started yesterday.

Applied through gc key

We made three applications that includes my roommates as well, everybody's review started yesterday.

Seems to me that applications that need little more processing (verification, checking mentioned details in imm form...etc ) are pushed to a different pool upon initial review. And these pools have ton of backlogs before they get to yours.

Patience is key but I totally understand your frustration

It can be due to PR application. That's the only pattern I see among applicants who are waiting since long time. They are not processing TRV application in the hope that applicants will get the PR at some point anyways.

I'm waiting since June, no PR in progress.

I don't think that's the reason...I have no PR application in progress but TRV process is still delayed.

I did not apply for PR so far but waiting my TRV since July this year. I am on a closed work permit.
