Hey everyone :)
My husband is planing to apply for a visit visa while his PR is still in process.
We realize it is VERY hard to get this visa. However we are still willing to take our chances.
I would really appreciate it if people can share their experience and let me know the dos and donts for applying.
One thing that is really bothering me is someone said to me that if we apply for TRV they will reject it AND delay our PR process.
I find that hard to believe, but still want to clear any doubts.
Please if anyone can help me with this I would be so thankful! :)

Hi, from what i know temporary resident visa application while PR is under process wont delay your PR. Never heard of that. Its possible and legal, but yes theres very little chance getting it but its not impossible. I myself applied ,well my husband few days ago, and we were refused earlier this year. You need a lot of suporting documents for your TRV application.
Some of those are:

-A letter from the person that want to visit canada (write the purpose of the visit with proofs that you will return back home)
-A letter of invitation from your host in Canada & Evidence of immigration status of your host living in Canada
-Proof of sufficient funds (bank statesments from you or anyone covering your visit in cnd)
-Proofs of ties in your home country( business,owneship,family..)the most important thing needed and one of the reason why people get refused.
-If possible letter from MP from both country
-Letter from employer(duration, salary, and that he is to return back to his position after his visit in canada..)
I dont know if am missing somethiing someone else might add up.

the reason our last trv was refused was for:
-You havent satisfy you will leave the country(number one reason to refuse a trv app)
-Your travel history(some people get visa even tough they never travelled out of country,so its like an excuse)
-your family ties( again number one reason to refuse is that you dont have enough ties to your homeland which makes them believe you wont leave canada when visa exp.)
-limited,and current employment.

goodluck

Thank you so much for sharing your experience :)
We are definitely sending all those documents with our application and keep our fingers crossed for the best!

On a side note what is your situation right now? Are you living with your spouse now?
