TRV for spouse and dependant

Congrats! After their arrival tell us how was the arrival and how CBSC handles people arriving with this TRV.

I will.. hopefully same goes for all the applicants here who gets trv approved so far to give an update so people can learn/ expect as much as possible on what to do.

Hi Folks, has anyone applied for TRV without AOR? I want to apply for my spouse but haven't got AOR and now it's over 50 days since the PR application was submitted.

might be better to wait. AOR came 7 weeks after for me. TRV is supposed to take less than 4 weeks anyway. Youre gonna want to mention the AOR being received in your invitation for the trv anyway

TRV Eligibility switched to complete in pr tracker. In portal it switched from not started to in progress.
I guess there will never be a consistent understanding of what's going on there

Well, I have decided to go ahead and order the notes.

A couple of questions, if I may.

1. The order form asks for UCI number. I put in the UCI number for my wife (the PA). Then it asks for "File number". I can find her "Application number" but no file number. Are they really asking for application number, or should we find a file number somewhere?

2. The form has a box, below this wording:
Use the space below to provide relevant information to help IRCC process your request (maximum 500 characters).

What do people write in there? Is an explanation necessary?

Best to wait for AOR and then 2-3 days for SA as well. At least in that case you know you have maximum possible chance of getting TRV!

Yes, file and app # are the same.

You don't need to write a big explanation, I believe this is for more specific ATIP requests.

Main advice: make sure that you include the form where she gives you power to ask for her, and/or rep for her. They are very specific about this.

Well, I guess you'll get one within a day... it's never instantaneous with IRCC ))
Btw, when you got your eligibility completed, was it so in pr tracker as well as new portal?

hmm yea i think youre right....there is a delay about 24 in my other emails too.
So my app tracker showed eligilibity completed but the new pr portal was showing in progress. actually it still says in progress. Lol

also, I got it approved for a year so....dont be afraid of asking for more than 6 months since its spouse....also....does anyone know if i must buy a return ticket too?
