I'm Canadian and my husband is Moroccan. We currently are doing the spousal sponsorship. We are still in the background progress and we applied Nov 2022. However, I'm in the position to able to purchase a house and my company has until the end of year for housing assistance for its employees. I would like to have my husband come here so we can view the homes physically together so we can decide together and taje advantage of the housing program. Not sure if they would approve a TRV for that visit.

They will process this application and its a valid reason from visit. Make sure when you fill the application, your husband can prove strong ties to Morocco like employment/Business etc.

There is a chance IRCC thinks that your husband doesn't have strong ties back home since you are in Canada and his long term plan is to move here and could reject the application anticipate this and write a strong support letter and back up with documentation

Are you currently living in Canada? What do you mean by housing assistance? The recent announcement may make it easier for him to visit. Whether he has strong ties to Morocco and what kind of relationship history you have would also be a factor. How much time have you spent together in person? Was this a traditional relationship with minimal dating beforehand? Whether he has travelled internationally before to Europe, US, etc. is also a factor. The home will be bought with your funds and will be in your name he isn’t physically needing to be in Canada to sign documents although e-signing is possible three days. You will all be the one knowledge about Canadian housing market and location so him needing to be in Canada and especially if you are asking to remain for months it would be tough to justify travelling to see homes. Assume you aren’t needing to purchase a home in 1-2 weeks like some relocating are forced to do.
You should certainly apply for a TRV but don’t think buying a home will be a factor in the approval/refusal. The recent announcement from the minister of immigration regarding spouses being sponsored will lowly have the biggest impact on approval/refusal. We have yet to see the actually results of the announcement and politician announcements and reality often differ so don’t count on approval in 30 days and don’t buy any plane tickets until you have received the results of your TRV application.

Yes I am Canadian living in Canada. Housing program is offered through my employer. They give extra for a down deposit for new home owners or contribute monthly for 5 years, but the program is ending this year hence I'd like to purchase before it end.

We have been in a relationship since 2021, married last year. Meet 4 times. He has only traveled to Turkey and UAE. Currently he is unemployed. I just want him with me when house hunting as it will be our home.
