Hello Everyone!

My Wife is a Canadian Citizen and living in Canada and she is four months pregnant and wants me to be there with her at the time of delivery. We have applied spousal Sponsorship in September 2012 and i just wanted to ask what are the chances of getting TRV for me while PR application is in process also my wife is a home maker i am financially supporting her from Pakistan she has 7000 Dollars in her account there in canada and i have some in our joint account in Pakistan. can anybody advice me something regarding TRV in my case?

junaid, if you are supporting her from pakistan it means you can provide a better bank statement.
The only and major issue which people are facing in spousal trv applications are Home ties and Personal assets. Stick to these points and show something that you are gonna be come back after your intended traveling plan. You can show your job reference letter/Business documents/Personal assets etc.

The changes are low that you will be approved for a TRV. To be approved, you must demonstrate that you have strong ties to your home country and have no plans on remaining in Canada long term. You obvioiusly have plans to remain in Canada long term given your wife has filed the sponsorship application. However you can certainly go ahead and apply for the TRV - maybe you'll get lucky.

Thanks for your reply se7en and scylla

yes i can provide better statement and that would be around 12000$ in both banks (Canada and Pakistan) Also i have an apartment that is registered on my name and i am working with government sector since 2009 in the same department, But the question is how i am going to tell them the whole thing? i mean should i attach an extra letter with my application that will be showing all these justifications such as why would i leave Canada on time? and my personal assets? Family ties? etc etc?
My another question is about family ties. When i had applied for PR application i did not mentioned any of my family member on me although, my mother and younger bro are living with me so i have to come back for them so how do i justify this point in my TRV application?

junaid, yes you gotta write a short letter mentioning your commitment to your job, your assets and business. I was personally not in the favor to write these kind of letters but I have realized it makes a little easier for you and for the visa officer to understand your documents and case.
Do provide all your property documents, convert them into English and attest them from notary public. showing personal assets is very important as it is kind of your home tie.
2ndly, get a job proof letter from your department. It should be showing your job title, your per month salary and the date when you joined this organization ; and would be not bad if you ask them to add a line that you would be officially on leave for the amount of time you would be traveling.
Add extra documents that show a strong magnet for you in Pakistan, you must think about your surroundings to find out that magnet like taking care of your parents is your responsibility. Your siblings (if any) that you are supporting financially and morally etc. There should be a lot of things.

One more thing that i need to ask.. some people are saying if i will be applying for TRV canada during my spousal sponsorship (PR) is in process so it will effect my PR application in term of delay or may be rejection is it true?

Ignore those people. A TRV app, whether it is approved or rejected, will have no effect on your PR app

If anything, it should strengthen your PR application since it shows that your relationship is genuine

It will certainly strengthen your application. Include sponsorship agreement and an affidavit mentioning that you will return back within validity of your visa and will inform Canada consulate about your return date as soon as you return.
