Travelling with Canadian born infants to India

Hi, I am having a bit of a trouble understanding the current regulation around Indian visa and OCI etc.

My wife and I are here in Canada on work permits. We have twins 5 month old now. We were planning to travel to India come October mid. We have applied for the babies' passports and are waiting for it. Do I need to wait for the OCI to travel to India?

How long does it take to apply for Indian visa for the babies? How do I submit the applications? How long can the babies stay in India if we go.

While trying to apply for e-visa for the babies, the "Country of Citizenship" field do not have Canada listed. How do I go about applying for the e-visa?

Also, under the current regulations, would you know if the babies require Covid PCR test to enter India? Does my wife and I need these? We are both fully vaccinated.

At present, we do not have an option (due to a personal emergency). It is imperative we make the travel.
