traveling for pressing emergancy

I am in Canada ,my PR expired IN August 2015 I have completed 500 days, currently I am a government employee ,my family are staying and studying in Canada and they got the Canadian citizenship recently, I have a pressing emergency as my mother is 83 years and she is in critical conditions I have some medical reports, last time I visited my mother was in July 2015, I need to travel for 14 days and come back to resume my work and to complete the 730 days .
The reasons of not completing the 730 days before is not getting a job in Canada and traveling to do some work out of Canada to support my family I have a proof of submitting hundreds of applications with no positive feedback.
If there no way to ravel I will have one choice to renounce my PR. and apply for visit visa, but I need to know before leaving Canada so that I can inform my Employer.

Please advise this an urgent request.

Do you hold a visa exempt or non-visa exempt passport?

In addition to scylla's question do you currently hold a US visa that is valid to at least your proposed return date to Canada? If your answer to the above is that you hold a visit visa exempt passport then fly back to Canada on the strength of this passport and deal with CBSA at the border. If you hold a non visitor visa exempt passport then you need to apply for a PRTD at a Canadian visa post overseas which will be risky since you don't meet the RO. If answer to US visa is yes (or you can get one) then then enter US first the cross into Canada via a US/Canadian land border crossing using non commercial transport e.g rental. Have documentation to hand for presenting to CBSA officials pertaining to your mother's ill health as evidence of part of breaching the RO. You may be lucky enough to get into Canada without being reported. This is the problem for PRs breaching the RO once you get into Canada then you have no room to leave for such emergencies.

No - there's no office you can visit in Canada. You'll have to take your chances at the border.
