Travel without PR CARD or travel document.

This is really messed up situatuon.

My bf and i landed on oct 15 2015 and immigartion said card will come in maximum 3 months.

So he booked ticket to go back to Austrailia.
Card is still not here, he is in there now. VAC is saying it takes 12 business days.
He is only staying there for 2 weeks.

Everytime we call CIC they say, there is nothing they can do.
It is all messed up, there is literally nothing he can do.
It isnt his fault. It is really ruthless as they saying they cant help him.

Did anyone come back country only with CORP?

Your boyfriend should request for a Travel Document form Australia, as soon he arrives.

Alternatively he can book a flight back to US (if have proper visa or ESTA) and cross to Canada by private/rental car or walking, COPR could be OK for this option, but better carry more documents such lading records

He can't, becuz it takes longer time than he is stayin in there.
It will take business 12 days.

Hi as Cic were no help whatsoever to me here what i did and it worked and it will still work up until March 16th when they change law saying you need n Eta.
I flew to Europe and returned without a Pr card. Showed officer my Copr when i landed with no problem at all.
If you from visa exempt country just go.
The only problem you may have is airline asking for Pr card.. Just tell them you a visitor. There is NO problem when you land in Canada.

Did you have to explain that card is being delayed? Did you have to get any proof that card is being delayed? And which airport you came in? And when was this?

if he's an Australian national (has an Australian passport) then there's no problem at all, as he does not need a visa to enter the country. As the previous person said, he can do his landing as a visitor and explain the situation to cic at the airport if they ask any questions

oh ok, that's great, at least it was no issues.
So even after getting copr there is still more waiting around for cic... lol

That is such a relief. He will land in Calgary via LA.
We were actually looking for someone who had same situation badly to hear the stories.

Yes even after landing the waiting continues I landed 28th August and on last conversation with Cic was told no time frame for card as in it could be another 6 months. lol
Only problem with no card is new Eta from March 16th. Then we MUST have travel documents. But all ok to travel til then.

It may still not coming when applying citizenship. It's funny
