I just had to reply to this.. I waited over 6 months for my Pr card and had to travel to Europe. After many calls to Cic and no luck finally one guy there told me i can actually travel with my visa-exempt passport and Copr until the 15th March. Which i did. With zero problems.

Landed 28th August. new photos sent early October. Pr card received today. 178 days later. :)

Hi i landed August 26th and got request for new photos early October. i tried to register them but was told not possible as it a Po box they must be sent to.

Yes even after landing the waiting continues :) I landed 28th August and on last conversation with Cic was told no time frame for card as in it could be another 6 months. lol Only problem with no card is new Eta from March 16th. Then we MUST have travel documents. But all ok to travel til then.

Hi this was 3 weeks ago. I just showed Copr, explained i having no luck getting card from Cic after photo request and been waiting over 5 months.I had no proof, Copr confirms residency, He just said all ok. No drama and no delays. Landed in Calgary.

At the moment with the economy the way it is it is almost impossible find a job when you are in Canada so there no way of finding from outside. It could be done a few years ago. I got an offer and an Lmia from abroad but not anymore i sorry to say.

I figured out for the state of my mental health not to call Cic anymore. They've become extremely rude, nasty and unhelpful. Who knows maybe that's the way they now trained. Out of the 8 ive spoken to 1 was helpful. The rest just rude and seemed to not at all care.

The reason Canadian government keep bringing people is here is because no one here wants to do the low paid service and retail jobs that need to be done. Looking at Albertan job market past few months only jobs available pay between 10 and 18 dollars an hour. Try survive here on that with cost...

All very frustrating. Landed 28th August. Received letter asking new photos 5th October. Sent them 7th October. Nothing since. Cic helpline are most unhelpful saying they no idea when i ll get card as there no timeline whatsoever for this situation.

All depends on what you want. My advice is don't come here unless you have tremendous patience ;)
