So what does one do if one needs to travel after CoPR. Is there any document one needs to have similar to TRV? How long would it be valid? or every time you travel you need to apply for a travel doc? I believe the PR card does take time to arrive.

PR card takes about 50+ days right now. If you're outside Canada/US you
need to apply for a travel document, not sure how long it's valid for.
If you're in the US and re-enter at a land crossing, you can use the CoPR to re-enter.

50+ days is a long time. I travel on work out of country i.e. out of Canada. Need to find out the options. Anyway it is too early to think about it :)

My question is

Can i travel to my home country while waiting for PR card . I need to go for some urgent issue .

As long as you're driving with your car, you can use CoPR to come back to Canada

I understand from CIC website that this travel document is only for a single entry to Canada.

Travel document counterfoils are normally issued for a single entry to Canada. If you meet the residency obligation but are residing outside of Canada on a long-term basis (for example, if you are a permanent resident accompanying a Canadian citizen spouse), you may want to request a long-term multiple entry travel document. To do so, you should include a cover letter explaining your circumstances and requesting a multiple entry travel document. These can be issued for up to five years but cannot extend beyond the expiry date of your passport

Hey Toronto,
Let us all know how you tackle this. It will be helpful for a lot of applicants and there will be a lot of applicants who will be landing from other countries.

Yeah the officer that processed my landing told me the airlines don't accept it. He said it's really stupid, because We accept it at the border but the airlines don't. Yet they allow people that shouldn't be arriving in Canada to come, and they claim refugee status and the airline could get fined. Doesn't make any sense.
Well I see a point in that. How you are expecting airlines to check if your COPR is valid/authentic. They don't have access to immigration stuff and I'm pretty sure that if they would allow that you would find plenty of people with false COPR travelling to Canada just to claim refugee status or some other sh** :D
