Recently I got Canadian citizenship . I was Indian national previously .

I want to know if I can travel to USA with Indian passport with valid USA visa and return by road With Canadian citizenship certificate? I mean is it possible to use 2 different documents each time?

I know we can use Indian passport for 3 months after getting foreign citizenship.

Bring you COPR. I know that CBSA will accept COPR + Passport when coming over the border via private vehicle.

Thanks; but can we use 2 different documents each way? Indian passport to US and COPR to Canada?

I guess you can. It's no different from one person holding a US / Canada passport. You do run a greater risk of being denied into US with a Indian Passport over holding a Canadian Passport.

Is there any particular reason why you cannot wait for a Canadian Passport before entering US?

Yes, Canadian PP will take atleast 10 business days and urgent passport is quite expensive.

Why would they deny me into US when they wont even know im a canadian

I didn't say they WILL deny you. Just saying the rate of denial into US is higher for a Indian passport holder over a Canadian Passport holder, however small.

When you become a Canadian citizen, you are no longer an Indian citizen and so you cannot use your Indian passport as India does not recognize dual citizenship. Also, after you become Canadian citizen you need to surrender your Indian passport within a year and get a surrender certificate. If you have travelled using your Indian passport after getting your Canadian citizenship, you need to pay additional fine when applying for the surrender certificate.

I know a good number of British Expats who visit the UK showing the Great Britain passport, and then come back and show their Canadian passport coming back into Canada. Generally either is a valid travel document, so just use whichever passport will cause the least hassle.
