Travel to USA for a tour - CEC PR Application submitted in Oct only

Experts,

Need your advice. I filed for my PR through CEC which has reached on 02 Oct 14. I went to India for 4 weeks (2 weeks working remote and 2 weeks vacation) paid. Now i am back to Canada, i am planning to visit to USA next week for 2 weeks.

Please let me know if there is any risk in me being out of the Country while my application is in process (AOR is yet to be received) or is it immaterial when it comes to my presence in Canada while my PR application is in process.

There is no risk at all , but for safety sake once your back you can update CIC about your stay in USA with duration.

But I personally believe its not mandatory to update CIC too.

I agree with this. Don't see any point in updating CIC of your trip, I certainly didn't when I popped down to Montana for a weekend. Significant things like address changes or family changes, but not a holiday.
