Hi All,

I sent my PR application uncer CEC category in OCT 2011.

My wife is pregnant now.

1. Should i update this status to include in my CEC application. I remember i haven't seen any field to indicate spouse is pregnant or not

My another concern is, she undergone medicals in July 2011 at home country while coming to Toronto as visitor (Dependent).

2. Should she need to under go medicals again when i receive medical request for my CEC application.

Can some one clarify this..

Can i get any link in CIC website for this situation

Thanks...

Would appreciate reply from some one who knows what to do in this situation.

1. You don't update the application until the child is born. If the child is born in Canada, it will be a Canadian citizen, so doesn't have to be added to the application, just amend the IMM 5406. Otherwise if the child is born outside Canada, your application will have to be amended and the child added.
2. Yes, she will require new medicals, it is decision between her and her Dr. whether to have the x-rays.
3. If she doesn't have the x-ray, inform the processing office that she will have the medical once the child is born.

Thanks PMM..

Is it true that a pregnant woman should not undergo X-Ray.. i read this in few topics..

As PMM said, this decision is up to you, your wife and her doctor. Most/many doctors will recommend against having the xray since it may harm the child.

Thanks for your responses..

Keeping the safety of kid, i will be against X-ray.

Ca i request the immigration office, to have ultrasonic test instead x-ray. why i am asking this is because my wife already had medicals in July 2011 while entering canada for the first time and it is not more than a year she came to toronto.

I might be too optimistic but will there be any way to request tham for alternative test in medicals isntead X-Ray..

Thanks..

Nope, it is x-ray no alternatives.
