I guess this is elementary question but still i will ask it since i'm confused.
After landing as PR, Can i go to my home country and return to Canada without visitor visa??(my visitor visa already expired) I was under the impression that, after landing but still without PR card I can re-enter Canada?? Huh

Can some one please explain it? Thanks in advance.

You can got to your home country anytime you want without PR card in your hand but you cannot enter Canada without Visa but You can enter Canada through land border using COPR. Note that if you land at any airport without visa then they wont allow you to re-enter Canada until you have "Travel Document" which you can apply from outside Canada. You can also tell someone to Courier your PR Card but it is not advisable.

Can some one please explain it? Thanks in advance.

ok. Thanks for your reply. Some more additional questions.

1. what do you mean by Land border?
2. Is this following possible? After getting by COPR and immigration visa, without landing, i will go to my home country and land when returning to Canada so that i don't need visitor visa. Does it make sense?

1. what do you mean by Land border? One that connects Canada with USA

Does it make sense? Yes you can do that for sure. But complete your landing Before COPR & Visa expires as renewing COPR is not possible, and I would consider this better option as it will save days which you can use towards Citizenship requirement. P.S. I am going to do same.

Yes after you receive PR card when entering Canada what they will do is see your passport & scan your PR card so CBSA system will generate entry in their system.

No. Once you are a PR, you cannot apply for a TRV.

To travel to Canada once you are a PR, you will need either your PR card, a PR Travel Document or to enter via a land border from the US.

Can you please let me know what is the pr travel document is?
Also in your opinion what should I do? Let's says after landing as pr but without PR card, is it possible to return to canada after going to home country? Is that's where pr travel doc needed?

A PRTD is a one-time use document that allows a non visa-exempt PR to return to Canada when they don't have their PR card. You would have to apply for it in your home country and it could take several weeks to get.

If your COPR is valid for long enough, just delay your PR landing until you come back from your trip

Finally i thinking about executing below two options since my wife may not come back to Canada before expiry of Corp

1. Do the landing right away and give my friend address when landing and ask my friend to mail to India once he receives it - Some of them have stated that it is not advisable to send PR cards via courier. Did some one have did it successfully? Will the Indian customs will hold the PR card? Is there any advise on how to send it safely?
2. Since i'm coming back in a month, just to be on safe side(in-case pr card doesn't arrive before my departure) i'm planning to apply travel document just for myself as soon i reach India - Do someone know what is the processing time for Travel document in India as i couldn't find the details in the website?

Seniors please advise on both the options.
Thanks a lott.... :)

You can mail the card without issue. I doubt that it will arrive in time.

There is no posted time for a PRTD in New Delhi. I suggest you contact them.

mm ok. When you say you doubt that will arrive in time - Are you referring to PR card send from CIC to my friends house or mailing PR card to India?
