Travel to home country after Landing

mm ok. When you say you doubt that will arrive in time - Are you referring to PR card send from CIC to my friends house or mailing PR card to India?

Given the current PR card processing times and the added mailing times, I'd say to give around 2 months from landing to receive it in India. If you are leaving for one month right after you land, it probably won't arrive in India in time for your return trip.
