Hello

I have some confusion about the details I have to put down in the travel history section. I have received my ITA.

I am supposed to put my trips I have taken outside my country or residence and outside my country of origin. Which one is my country of origin and which one is my country of residence?

I was born in country X and I have lived in country X for most of my life. However, I have passport from country Y since country X does not issue passports based on birth. Currently, I live in country X.

I have taken trips from country X to Y several times for vacation. Do I need to put all of these trips?

I also lived in country Z for several years and I took trips from country Z to X and Z to Y several times for vacation. Do I need to include these trips too?

wow that was confusing... would have been better if you put down real names of countries :)

let me see if i can clear your doubts...

country X - country of birth, lived most of life and currently living in this country
country Y - Country of citizenship
Country Z - lived for several years, but not living there anymore.

You dont need to mention travels between
X and Y - As long as you were living in X
Y and Z - As long as you were living in Z

X and Z - Travels need to be mentioned.

Travels when you were on vacation need to be mentioned if
Living in Z, and travelling to X
Living in X, travelling to Z

You also need to mention dates from which date to which date you were living in X and Z... and when did country of residence change from X to Z, and vice versa.

i'm not sure you understood everything i mentioned :) if you didnt, replace the XYZ with actual countries, then it will be a bit clearer for me to understand also... :)

I believe country X would be some middle eastern country that doesn't give citizenship.

I really apologize for the confusion and I appreciate your response. You response clarifies a lot of things for me. So basically Y is my country of origin?

Also you mentioned: You also need to mention dates from which date to which date you were living in X and Z... and when did country of residence change from X to Z, and vice versa.

Where do I mention this? Where do I mention the dates that I was living in X and Z and where do I mention the change of the country of residence?

sorry forgot to mention this earlier... all this needs to be explained in the LOE document...

you have to mention your current situation, explain everything in detail and hope they understand :)

also, its a given but mentioning again incase you didnt know - you need PCC from all 3 countries.

good luck.

not that i have heard of... but i got it confirmed from 2 seniors who received PPR already that they submitted without showing travel history between home and resident country.

Would it be a wise idea to write them down in loe just as a precaution

upto you, you can mention whatever you feel necessary in LOE.

in my LOE i mentioned that i didnt submit details of my travels from home country to residence country... and i can provide them at a later stage if they deem it to be necessary. :)

I am also confused about my travel history too.

I have lived in India till January 2011, than moved to Canada for studies (course completion time-line Jan 2011- Aug 2012). During my studies at an institution in Canada, I took round trip (for about 40 days) to India to visit my family in the vacation. After completing my studies, when I got a post graduation work permit, I started working in Canada. After working for over a year, I took a round-trip to India again for 20 days (vacation). After returning from that trip, I started working again for over a year in Canada. Than I suddenly moved back to India in 2015. Since than I have been living/working here.

Country of origin - India and Current country of resident - India.
So my question is, Do I need to mention this trips in "Travel history" and/or "Address history"?

I would suggest you to clearly mention all your travel details in travel history. Otherwise, CIC will definitely ask you to submit IMM5562 at later stage. To avoid all these and save your processing time, it is better to mention all your travel history during last 10 years. Recently, one of my friend got the same request from CIC, because he didn't specify any travel history :)

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I had made 2 trips to India when I was in Canada. I will mention them in my travel history. Do I need to mention them in the 'Address History' too? I am asking this question because since I was in India for 40 days and 20 days during my trips, Doesn't that mean I was at that address for those time periods?

P.S When I tried to give you +1, A massage prompt saying : "Sorry, you can't repeat a karma action without waiting 168 hours."

well i thought i had cleared this in earlier posts... but let me repeat anyway

travel between home country and country of residence is NOT required to be declared... if you want to declare it - please go ahead...

to answer your question, you just need to show address of your residence back then in canada, no need to show residence of where you stayed in india for 20 and 40 days...

travel between home country and country of residence is NOT required to be declared---One of my friend submitted his application with the same assumption and CIC asked him to submit IMM5562. There are may similar cases I have seen in this forum So, I would strongly recommend to mention travel history to be on safer side. Final decision upto the applicants. :)
