This may sound silly but need some clarifications...WHile entering travel history, should i mention the exit dates from my home country or the entry date to the travelled country..

Example I traveled on 30th Jan (just before midnight) from India and reached amsterdam on 31st Jan...so should I begin the dates from day I left India?

Input dates as stamped on your passport by the immg auth. e.g. if India Visa has 30th as the date...Input 30th

Impt point : All your info e.g. name (inclusive spelling), travel history, place of birth etc should exactly match the info on your passport.

All the Best.

Thanks...meaning I should say 30th Jan - 31st Jan : Amsterdam? Even though the entry in Amsterdam is on 31st Jan.

P.s: India is my home country so I will only have departure stamp.

What is prefferd way to write time lines in personal history:

Eg:
12th jan 2007 to 15th may 2009
15th may 2009 to 27th june 2010

Or

12th jan 2007 to 15th may 2009
16th may 2009 to 27th june 2010

Again same thing with months:

Jan 2007 to may 2009
May 2009 to june 2010

Or

Jan 2007 to may 2009
June 2009 to june 2010

Apprecaite if anyone could affirm the corrct way as i do not want to leave any gaps in timeline.

Date-wise , go for 2nd option

12th jan 2007 to 15th may 2009
16th may 2009 to 27th june 2010

and

Month-wise,any thing would work

Jan 2007 to may 2009
May 2009 to june 2010
Or
Jan 2007 to may 2009
June 2009 to june 2010

My immigration lawyer told me no need to enter travel history for home country (India in my case) and country of residence (currently am in Canada on Work permit). Please advise if this is correct.
I have flown multiple times form US - India - US and Canada - INdia - Canada.
Please let me know if its ok not mentioning the flights to India or flights to Canada

You don't need to mention travels between Canada and your country of citizenship. No harm doing that but it isn't required.

How about trips to US to Canada or US to India? Lawyer told to show only the travel leg has US (which is neither my country of residence nor citizenship) as the destination, and not the other leg ( for eg US to India leg). Is that ok?

Yes, Canada to US and India to US need to be shown as your destination is neither your country of residence nor citizenship. You mention the From and To dates of the duration of stay in US and hence it is obvious that you would have returned back to your point of start after the mentioned duration. Hence, you do not need to show US to India or US to Canada as the destination is either your home country or residency. Hope it makes sense
