Pre-Assessed..
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.
I'm currently residing in Canada and received CoPR on June 3rd. I just realized that PR card takes some time to arrive. I'm planning to go to US on July 1st and going back on July 3rd - both by air at YYZ. So I'm pretty positive that I need a travel document. However, it has been mentioned that I have to apply it from outside Canada? I'm not sure what to do now.
Do I "land" on July 3rd by car? Would my CoPR still be valid by then?
Do I "land" now? And just travel back by car? Can you even get in without travel document?

If you havent done your landing yet, then you dont need a travel document as you would simply use your copr and do your landing the next time you return to Canada.

Your COPR is valid until your medicals expire or your passport expires, whichever comes first. Medicals are valid for 1 year.

You would only need a travel document if you decide to leave canada again after your landing and before you have your pr card. Then you would need a travel document to return to canada by air. If you come back by car, i believe you could use your copr again for that as well.
