Hiya,

I think I've read somewhere that after landing you can travel back and forth between US and Canada using the COPR after, if PR card hasn't arrived so long as you're not in a commercial vehicle. Is anyone able to confirm that for me? Is there any risk involved in doing this?

Thank you!

That is correct. You can do this. I have done this.

If you are visa exempt or a US citizen, just staple your COPR to your passport and then you can remove it when you get your PR card.

There is no risk. The worst that could happen is you could be sent into secondary just to verify information, but that is all.

Thanks so much!

We'll be recrossing with our 'accompanying goods' - i.e we land in NB with the goods to go to a wedding and then will cut back through US again to get back to home in Ontario. Should that be fine? If not we could drive from NB to ON through QC

Cheers!

Won't be a problem at all.

Have fun!
