I am indian going to canada for studies. I have booked my flight which has two stops, one in munich another one in london. I want to know if i require transit visa for this journey.
Route. Mumbai- Munich t2. Munich t2 -heathrow london t1
heathrow londo t3- toronto.
Plz help.

u may need transit visa but since ur terminal is not changing u could be ok.....the thing is if ur flight from munich to london is a domestic flight then u need transit visa if international then u wont .....what happens is if ur terminal changes and ur flight becomes domestic then to get to that terminal u have to go through immigration.....hence u will need a visa.....best is to call ur airlines and ask them this question if the flight is going to be domestic or not and if u will have to change terminals....

You might have problem in UK because of terminal change. Better to ask UK border association or search through website if you need transit visa for UK and act fast.

I'm too transiting through Heathrow and have terminal change......Guess transit visa is not required as there are terminal buses on heathrow on airside ....But not 100% sure

not true....if ur transiting from international to international then u dont need visa..if u go to domestic then u ma need visa....eg
xyz to london ....london to paris and paris to canada..if ur flight from london to paris in domestic flight u need schengen visa
i had this problem in france ..may happen in london too

Yes. It's true.

If flight is transiting from 2 schengen countries, then we need visa.Since, UK and Ireland, both are not part of Schengen, so nikhil won't need schengen visa. But might need UK transit visa because of terminal change.

UK might not allow to change terminal but in Germany one surely can without visa.

as far as i know you do need transit visa for England...better to apply for it or book a different airline..Cathay is a good one!

Yes, cathay is good and is giving away premium economy seats ate very low price + you get to carry extra 23kg under student offer.

So total 23*3(checkin)=69 + 8/10kg(cabin)
