Transcripts vs DMCs

Hi All,

I am from Pakistan. I did my Bachelors (B.Com.) from Punjab University. I have applied for the Transcripts in sealed envelope but what they have sealed are carrying the title Detailed Marks Certificate. Does it make any difference? Do I need to give any explanation to CHC. My visa office is London.

Dear Saim,

In my view transcripts and DMC are same thing.

I also have done B. Com. from Punjab Uni, Lahore. Can you please advise me about detailed steps to get sealed transcripts from PU. I mean to say where I have to apply or which person to contact. I am located abroad and dont know how to proceede.

Here is how I obtained the DMCs for BCom:

1. Get the DMCs forms (separate for Part1 and Part2)
2. Fill, and get them attested from the institute where you attended BCOM classes
3. Pay fee Rs. 1400/- for each part (total Rs. 2800)
4. Submit it in Admin block - Degree Section
5. And they'll post DMCs in a sealed envelope on your address
6. You send this once you received, without opening.
7. In case you find some problem, there is a VERY COOPERATIVE person Khalil Iqbal in Registration Branch. Anyone can reach him. He is REALLY COOPERATIVE.

Thank you for your very helpful reply.

I have my all educational docs authenticated/stamped by boards/universities/HEC/Foreign Office/notarised but I know that I need them in sealed envelopes from Uni. I cannot do the process myself. Being located in europe, I will have to assign this job to someone to do on my behalf.

I had the same verified docs, but they won't seal your existing DMCs, rather they will issue new and send them to your address. This is what they did for my case.
