I got the magic mail (PPR) yesterday.

I have a few questions for those who got their PR visas stamped.

What is the validity of the PR visa and COPR? How much time they give you for landing?

I also have a problem. My spouse is in Pakistan and according to the laws in Pakistan it is illegal to mail the passport out of the country. I would appreciate any ideas in regards to solving this issue as CIC has asked to send passports for all applicants together.

Dear LahoriMunda,

Ithink here is your reply.

Please see below post posted on November applicants thread by CALAINP on page 266:

Hi Friends,

My wife got her PR (Visa stamped) in India at Chandigarh Visa office and I have sent my passport to Ottawa for PR visa.

Visa officer from Ottawa called me on Friday (14th June) and he facilitated all the process. He told me he will coordinate with Chandigarh Visa office to get pr for my wife so that we dnt have to bother to bring her passport here. He told me to send my passport to Ottawa and I will get it back in 3 weeks.

I have to land first as principal applicant and only then my wife can come to Canada.

Thanks for all your help so far and best wishes!

Cheers,
Calainp

Hi Guys, my ECAS changed to "Decision Made" last week. I sent my passports last Tusday so hopefully I will get them back by the middle of July. I hope the strike will not delay the process too much.

Hi Guys,

Got my RPRF email today. I believe they have returned to the remaining October applicants and other members should be getting good news soon

ya after a lot of inactivity i got the rprf

but no ppr yet

im guessing by end of july we should be getting something

how do you email the confirmation to ottawa?

Convert the pdf format receipt in Word and fill your details and send the same as an attachment in email to Ottawa and cost recovery email address.

Thanks

snoor1987 yes, I am in the same boat as others. Just got RPRF and not PPR.....Hopefully we should get something starting Aug.

:o I just emailed them blank pdf receipt without any particulars.

My particulars were in the body of my email. What should I do now?? Resend again by inserting my name etc..??

just google and find the free online facility to convert the pdf files in word format (http://www.freepdfconvert.com/) fill the details and then email them.

Thanks

Who knows about the content of background inerview? I sent an email asking about my application status. They reply that "According to our record, pending Background interview for you. Will advise you once date and time are set." Who has attended or knows about the background interview ? what shall prepare for it? Thanks!

Our family landed on June 25 and officially became PR in Canada ;D

Good luck to everyone!

By way of asking for my RPRF I was "informed" that my file is in Vienna.
I already paid the fee in Canada; does anyone have an idea if that will be a problem?

I just sent them an email with my receipt and told them that I wasn't informed that my file was transferred and therefore paid the fee a month ago in canada.
