For those who have received MR, can you check at the bottom of your email to see the initial of the person that sent it. Is it the same for everyone?

Mine is NP. Is this my visa officer in Ottawa? I want to find out if medical request mean the application has passed initial screening conducted by a visa officer, or is it just a step done by clerk people at CIO?
I've received MR yesterday (2 days after AOR), it is not signed ::). It says that MR was sent from CIO, and the next correspondence will be with my vise office.

Good to hear that!
Probably your PR will be this December.
Hi pangandoy,
PR process is so fast??

No its not. It depends on the visa office. Ottawa is 11 months and London, UK for example more than 20. In my letter with my MR they wrote with receiving of this letter (MR) it will be 10 months to complete the PR process. So fall/winter next year it should be done.

Hi mcsvizag,

I don't understand why your AOR is getting so much delayed. I believe your draft has been en-cashed on Nov 20 and it's 10 days gone already.

@ lilotia

I don't know with other VOs. But, all those that I got acquainted with had their PPRs on the average of 2 weeks after they've done their Medicals. That's one reason why I'm extremely concerned because my friends (of the same stream, QSW-FSW) got their AORs, MRs, PPRs and had their passports returned with Visas on it in duration of 4 mos. Our VO is Manila.

One more week to go and it'll be 2 mos. already of waiting for AOR from CIO. While my acquaintances, received their AORs from CIO within just 5 weeks.

It's just very stressful.

Thanks.

Thanks for your prompt reply
I see that CIC sites shows average average time in Maniala for Provincial Nominee is 11 months, the same is written about Ottawa (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp). So I thought that the processing will take 11 months after we submit MR..

@mcsvizag

Hey,

Good thing you know that you had your payment accepted. So, expect your AOR sooner or later. :)

I feel helpless that my bank cannot immediately verify if my DD has been encashed, because it will take 2 weeks for them to do that.
...and I even need to provide them a request letter which is the first thing I do on Monday.

You're welcome.

Yeah, different VOs and different streams have different processing times.

Thanks.

Thank you very much! :)

Unfortunately, I can't get through 18882422100. When calling 18882422100 it says, "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again.". But, when I tried calling all other numbers of CIC like TTY: 1-888-576‑8502; Passport Canada: 1-800-567-6868; Service Canada: 1-800-622-6232 etc., they all worked.

Thanks.
-pangandoy

are you from Phillipines? If so, you cannot call that number from outside Canada.

There is a landline number for you to reach CIC and access to this system, or you can ask someone in Canada to call and check for you. But if you never been to Canada you do not have a client Id.

@ TRUONGAN

You're right. Now, there's no way I can get to speak with CIO's representative. I know that before it was possible even if I'm outside Canada by using 1 613 944 000, then options 1 and 2 before the call will be directed to 1 888 242 2100. Too bad nothing works now. <sigh>

Yes, I'm from the Philippines. :)

Hi,
I really hope so. :) You'll receive your AOR pretty soon, because your application has been opened and processed. Since your payment has been credited to them.
