Dear all,

Hope everyone is doing well and good to see fast progress on many cases in November group. I was hoping to received my PPR by end of September based on similar cases however it has still not arrived for some reason. Upon CSE, London VO replied that my case is in queue to be reviewed by immigration officer.

Now the problem is that it will be exactly 1 year in November when my application was sent to CIC so I'm not sure if my Police Certificates for Pakistan will remain valid when my case comes up for review. The certificates don't have an expiration date and CIC website just requires certificates to be submitted within 3 months of issuance and doesn't say anything about validity. Does anyone know about this and any suggestions in this regard, whether I should wait for London VO to ask for updated one or send one anyway.

Thanks,
Fahad

Hi Fahad,

I am not very sure whether the CIC website has any information regarding the validity of PCCs or not, but usually the PCC is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. So, I strongly suggest you to get updated PCC from Pakistan and also any other countries (if you had stayed for more than 6 months duration) and send it to London VO without being asked. It doesn't hurt anything and in fact you will really save much time in doing so. So, DO NOT wait until you are asked by London VO.

Since you said, your case is in queue to be reviewed by immigration officer, I am very positive that you are very close to get your PPR. So, good luck for everything.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hey Sarayu,

I sent a letter with the copy of the email where I satate that six month have passed without any further instruction. It seems like the passport would be arriving with no problems on Monday :D! YAY!

I did sent the copy of the PR that they e-mailed me a few days ago after my question + passport + 2 photos + the Prepaid Airbill envelop to return the documents! I really hope that everything goes as planned!!!!

I will send them an email telling them about the tracking number and the reason for the delay, just to be sure.... :)

Ill keep posting any updates.

Cheers,

Heyyyy luis4ever,

That's amazing to see your post. I am so happy for you and Hearty Congratulations buddy.

That's good thing that you have contacted CIC...otherwise you would have never know about it. Good job.

Yes, I don't think that it causes any issue for your further processing as you already informed them that you never received any email.

Hey, have you sent them a cover letter saying that you haven't received any email from them? And also, did you send a copy of letter that you received from CPP-Ottawa? Also, make sure there was no typo error in your email address that you have given them at the very initial stage.

Honestly, I have no idea if you use FedEx. Good luck for everything.

Hope you are out of SHOCK now... ;) ;) ;)

Thanks,
Sarayu.

My passport arrived at the Mexico City VO today november 04. Lets see how long it takes to stamp the Visa. Do they notify me about the visa or they just send the passport back and I have to be checking the tracking???

Thanks!

Hi all, I got my passport request on Oct 10th and we sent in our passport promptly and it was received on the 11th. How long does it usually take for them to send back the passports? The inability to travel is having a huge impact on my job (was suppose to be in London last week and Washington DC this week), hence I am very anxious to know how long it takes. I didn't think putting a sticker on a passport would take such a long time. Should I contact them and explain my situation and hope they could get it back to me quicker? any thoughts guys?

From 2 to 3 weeks. usually you get the passport back in a month (average). Did you also sent the Prepaid currier envelop for them to return the documents?

Yes, it was sent using fedex with a canadian post prepaid envelop. should I contact cic and ask them whether they could speed things up a bit? i would imagine a lot of people is quite dependent on their passport for work travels etc.
