Hi ppp123,

Thanks for your best wishes. If I remember correctly, this is the first post that I saw from you. Anyway, good to find one more H1B holder category applicant. Can you please let me know more about your timeline? How long is your status "In Process"? It took exactly one month in my case. Just keep waiting, I am sure you will get your PPR very soon. Are you also ANIP Nominee? Please keep in touch.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Roshan,

Hearty Congratulations my friend. Very Happy for you. Can you please let me know when was your ECAS updated with "decision Made"?

Have you sent your passports to CPP-Ottawa already? Good luck for everything.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I received my passport on 10th of October from CPP-Ottawa and I went for the flag pole on 11th October at Peace Arch border (White Rock, B.C). So, I was with one of friend and I live like 20 minutes away from the U.S- Canada border. It was fun all together, while heading towards the US border I decided to talk to the immigration officer on the Canadian side, he's like technically you have to go the US and then, come back.

The US border line up was huge so I requested if he could do it me without crossing the American side. He said walk upto the American side and come Back lol

I entered the US and told the American officer that I am here for the flag pole. He's like you have to go inside the office to get it done, played a little smart since I have the US visa why not to get the Port of entry for six months I paid 6 dollars and got the entry for six months :)

So turned around the car to Canadian Border and guess what one of my buddy was on the duty. So, he told me to go inside and he literally took 10 min for the paper work

The officer came back and said Congratulations, Mr Parmar you are now the Permanent Resident of Canada, you have to Complete another two years in order to become Canadian citizen :)

Once again I thank to all of you and my big thanks to Sarayu you have been an active member on this forum

God bless you all :)

Hello guys,

Congrats to everybody who got their PPRs and visas!!!

I am at the stage when I am about to get my PPR. However, I've been residing in Russia for more than 6 months already. CIC has already asked for my original police certificate which I mailed them last week.
How do you think what else they might ask me to send them? My medical will be expired in Feb 2014.
I need to be aware of all possible requests from CIC to speed up my immigration process. If you have any ideas, please share with me, it will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ksoalka

Hi ksoalka,

As your federal application was received at CIO on Nov 19, 2012 they may ask you to update your personal history and address history as it's almost 11 months already. But in my case, they didn't ask me and as you are aware that my application was received on Nov 15th...just 4 days prior to your's. Apart from this I don't see anything that they may ask you....but you never know about immigration process, they may ask anything if they need.

Thanks,
Sarayu.
