My ecas just shows Mailing address and not home address. I checked this by going to Update Address. Anybody else also faced this? (Home address is blank but mailing address is populated).

Besides two things to notice are that :

1. The date of visa issued is 5-june-2013 which is a week prior to the my ecas-changed to "decision made".

2. I saw 2 mailing addresses on friday when the passports were dispatched from CPP-OTTAWA.

Anyways Need some time to finally believe and cherish this beautiful moment.

dear friends.

yesterday, on canada day, I did my landing to become a permanent resident.

since I was on vacation anyways I did it on my way back on Vancouver Intl. Airport.

There were just two people in front of me, so I didn't have to wait that long.

The officer took my COPR and asked me a couple of questions like if I was ever denied entry to the country etc.
She didn't ask for any other document.

now I just need to wait for the PR card.

cheers! and good luck to everybody else!!

Congrats!

Hello Chinkazus,

Looks like my case also close to your's. You can see my time lines from my profile area. My online status shows both "We received your application on Nov. 15 2012" and "Medicals Received"...because we are done with our medicals end of january 2013. After that there is no movement in my file. Recently I have received my GCMS notes which shows no progress at all on my application. Eligibility, Criminality and Security not even started.

So, being an active member on this forum, what I noticed here is, the applications coming from out side Canada are not processed quickly. In your case, you even did not receive your medical request as of today. It's hard for us, but we have to continue to wait. It's really gonna take a while. You may go ahead and apply for your GCMS notes. It tells you exactly what is happening with your file.

By the way...what is HK visa office? Is it Hong Kong?

Thanks,
Sarayu.
Thank you, Sarayu. Yes, the visa office is the Consulate in Hong Kong. I know some applicants from Russia and Ukraine who were nominated at the same time. All of them are already landing in Manitoba. And the advertised time limit for their visa offices is twice longer (16 months), yet they are done within 6 months. I guess I just have to wait and let them keep screwing our plans.

You have a big process at least, Surayu. I am happy for you. Hopefully, you will get some good news soon. Our best wishes to you.

"keep screwing our plans" = CIC

Did anyone recd any feedback whose file went in process in march and april (rprf paid on june 18) ????

Thanks
