Hi, everyone!

First of all, my best wishes to all of you guys on the way to your dream! Congrats to those who's been receiving good news!

We (me, wife and son) were nominated by MPNP for PR (destination Morden) on 30 September 2012. After that we sent our application to CIO and on January 15. 2013 received the notification that our docs were transferred the local visa office (HK). Online system shows "We received your application on Nov. 19. 2012". I emailed the consulate in February, they sent their favorite standard reply "Your application is in our inventory. You will be contacted in due course". In the beginning of June I emailed them again. This time my message was longer, as I was becoming itchy, wondering whether I should extend our renting contract for the flat we're staying. They sent the same reply. We ended up extending the contract for another year. Kids in HK should be allocated to school as early as possible, and we haven't done that, hoping to move to Canada.

Is anyone here dealing with the same issue? I mean with the local consulate being so slow? Counting from the day of receiving our application (November 19, 2012) July 19, 2013 should be the end of their "time limit for finalizing PR applications for provincial nominees". However they even haven't sent us to do our medical checks yet. This is very frustrating.

Hello Chinkazus,

Looks like my case also close to your's. You can see my time lines from my profile area. My online status shows both "We received your application on Nov. 15 2012" and "Medicals Received"...because we are done with our medicals end of january 2013. After that there is no movement in my file. Recently I have received my GCMS notes which shows no progress at all on my application. Eligibility, Criminality and Security not even started.

So, being an active member on this forum, what I noticed here is, the applications coming from out side Canada are not processed quickly. In your case, you even did not receive your medical request as of today. It's hard for us, but we have to continue to wait. It's really gonna take a while. You may go ahead and apply for your GCMS notes. It tells you exactly what is happening with your file.

By the way...what is HK visa office? Is it Hong Kong?

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hello Everyone,

Congrats to them who are getting some movements on their files and Best of luck to fellow beings in my boat :)
How can I order my GCMS notes..are they free and how long is the processing time for it ?
And does it affects your application processing time (positive or negatively). ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi well Wisher,

You can apply for GCMS notes at https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do
If you are in Canada then GCMS notes are free under Privacy Act.
It takes 30 days to process GCMS note, if you order electronic file through email. Paper notes may take longer time.
It does not have any effect on processing time of your application.

Hope this helps.

Hi guyz...by god's grace.....just got our passports with visa and COPR.. :D :)...been a long tough journey but finally sailed through with almighty's blessings. Its been a privilage to be a part of such a group with members as supportive as our family... Big thanks everyone and Respect goes out for the Big Man @ sarayu without whom this forum just coudn't have reached this far. Wish you get what you deserve very soon brO. Wish everyone gud luck. Besides two things to notice are that :

1. The date of visa issued is 5-june-2013 which is a week prior to the my ecas-changed to "decision made".

2. I saw 2 mailing addresses on friday when the passports were dispatched from CPP-OTTAWA.

Anyways Need some time to finally believe and cherish this beautiful moment.

dear friends.

yesterday, on canada day, I did my landing to become a permanent resident.

since I was on vacation anyways I did it on my way back on Vancouver Intl. Airport.

There were just two people in front of me, so I didn't have to wait that long.

The officer took my COPR and asked me a couple of questions like if I was ever denied entry to the country etc.
She didn't ask for any other document.

now I just need to wait for the PR card.

cheers! and good luck to everybody else!!

Congrats Kavy !!! Were you a PNP- Ontario applicant?

When did it happen to you?

thanks

To Experts:

I don't have any second address, Still there would be 2 addresses visible in my eCAS at any time ?

Congrats :) Did you make a list of things you wanted to get back from your home country? Did you just visit Montana before landing? I was under the impression that they refuse you entry in the states during landing.

Kia99

Kia, actually they were fine with me visiting Montana before landing. No issues at all. Thank you!
