Thanks dark, just want to make sure because I got the whole family with me. @ philfresh congratulations, how's your flagpole experience?

Thank you, ABCan! Actually, i took it easy and visited Montana for a couple of hours. Then it took me 40 mins to be done with landing. The Officer if i was ever convicted of any crime or rejected access to Canada. Then i had to wait half an hour. Once he called me back, he gave me my passport back stripped of my work permit and asked me to sign the Confirmation of Permanent Residence forms (2). Then i was done!

Hope this helps!

Regards,

philfresh

Hello vishnuhari, print, fill the receipt and scan it to them with your immigration details/ info. After, 1-2 weeks you e-mail them for acknowledgement of receipt. Good luck!!!!!.

Hi, everyone!

First of all, my best wishes to all of you guys on the way to your dream! Congrats to those who's been receiving good news!

We (me, wife and son) were nominated by MPNP for PR (destination Morden) on 30 September 2012. After that we sent our application to CIO and on January 15. 2013 received the notification that our docs were transferred the local visa office (HK). Online system shows "We received your application on Nov. 19. 2012". I emailed the consulate in February, they sent their favorite standard reply "Your application is in our inventory. You will be contacted in due course". In the beginning of June I emailed them again. This time my message was longer, as I was becoming itchy, wondering whether I should extend our renting contract for the flat we're staying. They sent the same reply. We ended up extending the contract for another year. Kids in HK should be allocated to school as early as possible, and we haven't done that, hoping to move to Canada.

Is anyone here dealing with the same issue? I mean with the local consulate being so slow? Counting from the day of receiving our application (November 19, 2012) July 19, 2013 should be the end of their "time limit for finalizing PR applications for provincial nominees". However they even haven't sent us to do our medical checks yet. This is very frustrating.

Congrats :) Did you make a list of things you wanted to get back from your home country? Did you just visit Montana before landing? I was under the impression that they refuse you entry in the states during landing.
