i'm so please to inform ya'll that i just got my PPR this morning around 11 AM. this is such a wonderful 11th year wedding anniversary gift for me, as tomorrow will be my 11th year wedding anniversary. GOD IS JUST SO GOOD, FOR ANSWERING ALL MY PRAYERS..... THANK YOU SO MUCH LORD.... and thank you all for the opinions that we've shared in this forum....especially to you SARAYU.

Thanks Everyone once again Please keep two photographs ready, it has to have the date stamped at the back and has to be recent i.e taken in the past 12 months. Also fill the bio data form n keep that ready too and make sure you have one page blank in your passport. This is the link to the photo specs incase anyone needs to get one done.

I got my GSCM notes finally which were sent to the wrong address. Date: May 4th

Eligibility : Not started
RCMP: Passed
Security: empty.
Medical: passed
Criminal: In process

I am assuming that my Criminality check has been passed by now as this information dates back May 4th. But I have concern regarding my security as it is not mentioned whether it is started or not started. it is just blank. but I can see some notes in activity section regarding security. I got my RPRF request on june 18. I am hoping this is the indication of sth happened in my file recently....

Regarding the eligibility i can say that they are gonna start process after they collect all the information such as criminality, etc.


Any idea? plz help.

I was in an impression that eligibility is the very first step they do. But looking at your progress, it doesn't look like that.

I am very positive in your case because you were asked to pay the RPRF already which indicates that your case may be processed by now. Good luck.

Hello Ravi,

Thats for skill worker stream.. this eligibility is sth different than that one. In PNP stream, Sydney checks the eligibility first and send them to visa office, this is the first eligibility check. but the second eligibility check is important and done by visa office and I dont think it takes a lot of times cuz they only review and finalize file based on the all information they gather.

I am not sure, but maybe that one is the final step. But I noticed that CIO was responsible for starting criminal rcmp check... it was obvious from notes.. even before my file was transferred to visa office they started. but I have no clue about security check...

Have your file transferred to visa office yet based on the notes?

In my case i forgot to put the comment here that I got request for rprf on june 18 (paid on the same day) and VO sent me an email on 21st June saying that my passport is going to expire in next 3 months, I need to have a new passport with longer validity, but I had sent them the new passport copy on 17th June and with in 5 minutes they sent email again saying that no action required on my part now as they have received my new passport. Since my file went in process since april 22 I have got only 2 emails 1 for rprf and 2nd for new passport.

Dont know what is happening with my file.

Thank you for the message. That is a good sign.. because, they need a passport which has at least 1 year validity. Normally, when they issue a visa, it is valid for 1 year.

I ordered my GSCM notes again today, but I am hoping by that time we get the PPR.

Is the visa valid for a year? In the mail they sent me they I have to land before Feb 2014. Thats less than a year.
