Hi Kavy,

I don't understand why it's getting delayed in your case. It took about 55 days to get updated my ECAS with "Medicals Received". I think some people said, we can't depend completely on our ECAS...let's hope for the best buddy.

-Sarayu.
Yeah bro hope so too, recently called CIC and they said dont worry CIO is going through a lot of rush and your medical most probably would have been received until now. Ifever there was any problem CIO would already had contacted you. Lets hope for the best.

Hello Friends,

Can any one tell me how much time it will take for Passport request after its shows your file "In Process" ?

Thank you,
Bintesh

Hi Bintesh,

This is the stage in which CIC start your background check. It is difficult to predict exact duration. This duration varies from person to person. And mostly depend on how many and type (for some countries background check is more time consuming) of countries you have visited. Usually it takes anywhere between 2-6 month, average is 3 months :)

Veb

Hi Veb,

Just wondering, does CIC perform a background check on each country we visited (even if it's just a day trip)? Do you think the process will take longer if I had visited many places (each trip lasted for less than a month though)?

Thanks!

No, Its only when you stay in another country other than country of birth longer for 6 months at a time without leaving for another country

Hello everyone! I completed my Meds Today and the results should be in the physician office by monday!. if everything its OK, the box with the results should be on its way to the VO by the end of the week. Perhaps by May-10 could be arriving at the VO.

Also, the Police cleances and the Payment of the right of permanent residence should be there by that date as well.. :) Anyone knows any estimated time after sending meds + Payment to get passport request?

Thanks!

Hello Everybody,

Do anybody knows the time frame for RCMP Fingerprints? In how many days you can expect them anybody having personal experience regarding this?

Will b thankful.

Harman

I am just wondering.. did i choose the right Visa office...i mean CPP-Ottawa......i had the options of newyork and seattle also......these cpp-o people are damn slow in processing the files :'(

@ Harman

I got mine in about 3 days but I did e-fingerprints. If it is ink one, probably takes about 6-8 weeks.

@Canada_2881

It really depends where you live currently. If you are an inland applicant, usually goes to Ottawa. However, I've seen people got transferred to their home country VO too. And I thought Seattle office got shut down a while ago?

Hi Fellow November Applicants,

I have made a PR application inside Canada.

My BC PNP application was received on 28, Aug, 2012.
PNP Approval on 31, Oct,2012.
CIO sent me an AOR on 18, Jan,2013.
MR on 27, Jan, 2013.
Medical was done on 29, Jan, 2013 in New Delhi, India.

My application status online shows application received on 26, Nov, 2012.Since. It has not been updated since Jan. My VO is New Delhi. I had sent an email to NDVO and CPP Ottawa separately, haven't heard anything so far. Having your medical done outside Canada make any difference?

Could anyone tell me whats going on??
