Hey Sarayu, I'm kind of in the same situation. Let's hope for update very soon for both of us!

Oh yes greg_peq...good luck buddy.

does anybody know what does "in process" mean?
is that they have received file or reviewed file or started background check or finished background check?

Hi veb,

I was trying to see if I can get any info on this...but not found very much. But you may see below link...it's actually from ECAS site only.

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_com&lang=en&app=ecas

One more thing I wanted to ask you. Have you paid your RPRF already? If you haven't done yet, I would suggest you to do so...you will save some time at later stages. It's finally up to you, but it's just my suggestion.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Yes, we can. I have already paid it thru my representative. Since you are already in Canada, it's easy for you to pay online.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Sarayu,
what advantages will it give you? is it a long process to pay RPRF? or it will take time till the visa office sees that you paid for it?

Hi lilotia,

In my opinion, we will save some time if we can pay RPRF upfront. Because once the VO requests us for paying RPRF, our file will be away for a while from the immigration officer. Then we need to make pay arrangements (either online or bank draft in case of out side Canada applicants) which might take at least a couple days or a week time. And out side Canada applicants have to send the draft by postal services...then again a week or more than a week time...once it reaches the VO, the immigration officer need to check for your file again...so this is all time taking process.

If we pay RPRF upfront, as soon as the processing is completed, they might send us PPR.

Like I said earlier, it was just my opinion.

Hi greg_peq,

What is your VO buddy?...I don't see that info on our track sheet.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Congrats everyone whose file is moving a step forward :)

my ECAS was updated for medical results received on 12th March and my wife (added later on 14th feb) got medical request on 12th March. She did her medical on 14th March (EMedical Enabled doctor). It is almost a month, the status has not changed. I sent couple of emails to CIO to ask if they have received my wife's Med Results and RPRF fee I paid in advance. I didn't get any reply so far and CIC call center says they dnt have info of PNP files at CIO. I think there is no alternative other than wait.
Any suggestions if I need to do something or shall I just wait :)

Thanks

Hi Calainp,
I sent an email more than a month earlier to check with CIO if they have received my medical results. I didn't received any reply until last week. It might probably take a while for them to reply due to the volume of emails they receive every day. Not sure what else you can do other than waiting?

Guys good news for all of us waiting and checking ECAS every other hour. An October applicant sinp2013 got passport request and RPRF payment request even though his ECAS not showing his application in-process. That means we can accept passport request any day (keeping my fingers crossed). It's wise to pay RPRF in advance as told by many other members in this forum, it will save weeks' time while processing our passport for visa stamp.

Hi KAJORDAN,

As you see, LVO and NDVO applicants are getting updates too late. Recently they are started getting additional documents request like PCCs and personal history etc. It looks like too late for you to see your updates, but nothing to worry...hopefully all LVO and NDVO guys will be on track very soon.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Sarayu
You are right,
when looking to NOV tracksheet, only NDVO & LVO are tacking too long compared to other VO's.
Meaning that I will not see anything on ecas untill I receive something from LVO!!
Thanks

Hi Radium,

Are you a November 2012 applicant? If yes, please let me know your time lines, so that I will add you to Nov track sheet.

Yes, some time we noticed that we get updates directly from CIO/VO before our ECAS gets updated. I believe we can't depend completely on ECAS...but it give us little breath some times.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Sarayu

VO is CPP-O.

Hi,

I got my PPR yesterday. :-)

in the PDF they mentioned like:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)
Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner are required to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) in the amount of 490 Canadian dollars.
Our records indicate that you have already paid these fees. They are refundable if for any reason you do
not obtain permanent residence in Canada.

Passport(s)
We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and
all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least one blank visa page
in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be blank visa pages for them as
well.
Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military
passports. You must obtain an ordinary passport.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My question is: Should i send my renewed work permit (original) with my passport? or add only a copy of renewed work permit? or just the passport alone?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
