Hi guyz.....Is there anybudy in our group who has got dependants along in their PR application and has received ECAS update to "Medical Received" or "In Process"......because i just think that those who have got dependants are getting updates lately as compared to others. So just want to know whether exactly its like that or not ?

Hey Kavy,

Mine is with a dependent. Ecas showed Meds Received last week, around 8th March. No progress after that.

Thanks

Hi... I need an advice...my application has been returned by cic last jan 3,2013...and until now i havent receive it yet, I have checked with our local post office and they dont have any records of the said package... My most concern is our nomination expiration is on april... Can we ask CIC for an extension of our letter of approval? How?

Hi Bagaholic,

I am sorry to hear about your case.

How do you know that your application got returned to you? Did you come to know it from CIO? If yes, did you ask them what was the reason for sending it back to you? Where are you located? Because, as CIO sends back the package in a regular postal service, we never know whether it's going to reach the applicant or not...in fact, this part is really strange.

Checking with local post office will not solve the problem. If they get it, they deliver it to you, it's simple. But you already did it, it's nothing wrong in doing so.

When exactly your Nomination is getting expired? I think you already made delay as it's more than two and a half months. Anyway, past is past.

I suggest you to do this. Call CIO again and ask them to send you an email saying that your application was returned on Jan 03, 2013. I don't know whether they will od it or not, but just make a try. If they send you email, send a copy of it to your Province requesting them to extend your nomination. Send the complete proof of documents to your Province what ever you can provide. Also ad a cover letter explaining the whole story.

I had completely LOST MY HOPES once upon a time....but I am pretty much done with my PR process now. I know how much pain you have right now, but don't worry...God is there. Just put your efforts sincerely, you will get success.

If your nomination gets expired somewhere at the end of April, I don't think that you have to go for your Nomination extension. Just send a fresh application to CIO IMMEDIATELY.

Good luck buddy. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

I am applying by myself and my application status is in process. I don't think it has any thing to do if you are alone or not.

Send a fresh application to CIO right away without waiting for your earlier application to return. Just make sure you do whatever was missing in the previous one.

Gurdev;

NDVO and LVO guys are chilling out right now... no activity for any of November applicants.

hey Cheif;

what the basis of your statement above? any inside info :) trend analysis or just a hunch like ours :-)

zizu

If you look at the timeline of other applicants who are being processed through London, you will see that the trend at the moment is 4-6 months, however there have been a few applicants where it has been 2 months after AOR from Sydney, but not many. In my case I received AOR from Sydney on 23 jan, so like you I am approaching the 8 week stage. Last year many applicants received MR within 4-6 weeks from AOR.

There gas also been a dramatic increase in PR applicants, but no increase in staff at the London VO, causing increased workload, meaning more time taken to process.

Lets hope that my analysis is wrong. Good luck

Andrew

No point in contacting London, it states on the London VO website that they will not respond to status enquiries unless Quote:

We only reply to case status
enquiries if the processing time shown on www.UnitedKingdom.gc.ca (not
www.cic.gc.ca) has passed. If you've submitted new information, we'll
update your file without replying.

Processing times for PNP applications as stated on the London VO website states 6 months for PNP applications http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/processing-traitement.aspx?view=d , so no point in sending a CSE until you application has been in London for more than 6 months, by which time you should have had your MR :(
