Hi,

I see that your application has received speedy processing to date, we got our AOR from Sydney 23 Jan and to date no MR. What email address did you use to contact LVO. What dose CSE stand for?

Regards

Andrew

Andrew, CSE means Case Specific Enquiry

I received an email from CIO this morning requesting for additional document:

RCMP Criminal Record Check: If your residence period in Canada has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide a certified criminal record check You must provide a certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints. Please check the CIC website (Obtaining Police Certificates) and refer to RCMP certificates in Canada for details on obtaining a RCMP "Criminal Record Check".

Has anyone been requested fingerprints and RCMP criminal record check before?

Thanks!

With the blessings and help of ALLAH Almighty i received PPR2,wish everyone best of luck and keep hope and faith in ALLAH

Hi Polaris Star,
I can see that your medicals was received at IHS on feb 4. So CIO is working on applications as per the medical

results received date. Go for the electronic fingerprints bcos it is faster. I have not been asked for RCMP but I will

go and get one done to prevent delay. Best of luck for next stage.

I remember that you are in Vancouver as well, right?

I went to the finger printing service here:

International Fingerprinting Services Canada (IFSC)
470 GRANVILLE STREET, SUITE 619
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA
V6C 1V5
CANADA

They sent them electronically to the rcmp and you get the letter in a week.

Hi Steffi,

Thanks for your reply! I am a bit confused. I first went to the Vancouver Police Department to request for police record check and fingerprint. They charged me $70 for the record check and suggested me to get digital fingerprinting at any RCMP accredited electronic fingerprinting services office. Then, I went to an accredited agency and got my fingerprint done. They said, I will receive an RCMP criminal record check from Ottawa.

Now, my question is, after I get the record check from the police department and the RCMP record check, do I need to send both to CIO or just the RCMP record check?

Do you send the record check to CIO or CPP-O or your VO?

Thanks :)

I've already sent it along with my application. I never went to the police station. just to that fingerprinting office I mentioned before.

didn't they tell you where to send it? Since the request came from CIO I would send it to Sydney.

Thanks DIVINE FAVOR!

I have got my electronic fingerprints done just now :)

I'm not sure what is going on now. I just know that my ECAS status has not been updated to "medical received"...... :-\

You didn't need to go to the police department. You just go to the electroinc fingerprint angency tell them you need to do criminal record for immigration. They will ask for your file number or UCI and after RCMP do the search, they will mail the report to the visa office.

As it for me, I did it when I was getting my application ready so RCMP mailed to my home, took two days.

The fingerprint agency did not ask for my file number or UCI. They said the RCMP criminal record will be mailed to me in one week time.

Polaris Star,
The RCMP will send you a copy of the Fingerprint by mail. You should get this within one week from today. Send this to CIO becos your file is still at CIO not CPP-Ottawa. CIO will send your medicals and other complete documents including the RCMP check to CPPO. That is when you now hopefully go In- process. I dont know if medicals will be updated before they receive the RCMP check from you.

In the email I received from CIO, it says:
"Any inquiries or questions can be sent by email to: CIO‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry@cic.gc.ca"
But, this is an invalid email address. Does anyone know the email address of CIO, which I can use to email my enquiries about my application?

Thank you :)

That's the address for CIO, scan and emailed my RPRF to that address and it worked.
