UPDATE.....
Just got an email from CIO minute ago saying that My application will be forwarded to the CPP OTTAWA after CIO has completed their intial processing. Did my medicals almost a month ago but this means that my file is still at CIO and I think it will take a while for the ECas to get updated and
@ Sarayu... I am sure yours too is going to be transferred to CPP OTTAWA because like mine you also told me that on your returned file they marked OTTAWA on your visa office. Now i dont know if CPP OTTAWA is fast or slow in processing these days. Lets see !!!!!!

This part is what I'm confused about. When I received my AOR it stats that my files will be forwarded to CPP-O, that's before they gave me the medical request. Did your AOR email not say your files were being forwarded?

Hi Kavy,

Congrats. I was wondering what the initial processing the CIO is referring to. Do you know what they do at the

initial processing ? When will our files go in process? They sent me same e-mail when I enquired about my visa office.

Thanks.

What I initially assume is that when our files arrive at CIO, they do initial processing and give out AORs. And then our files get transferred to the visa office indicated on our application(as it for me it was CPP-O).

Now, it seems like all files stay at CIO until they are ready. Some people say CIO gives out MR and some people say CPP-O gives out MR. I don't know anymore! When I received MR, it asked me to contact CIO if there was no attachment so I assume CIO was giving out MRs? Where should the medical results go then? CIO or CPP-O? What about RPRF?

Someone also was talking about pre-screening at CPP-O after your files get transferred. People review your files and get them ready for a VO then VO decides if your application needs more supporting documents and if it does, well sucks for you cause when you mail then additional documents in, your files get pre-screened again and then get to your VO.

I am confused as well. For my case, the visa office I indicated in the generic form is "Canada" as I didn't know about CPP-O whatsoever at that time. In my AOR, it was mentioned that "any further correspondence should be sent to the visa office indicated in my form". A while ago, I was curious, so I called CIC to enquire about my VO. The officer said, they might send my application to LA. I am living in Canada right now and I do not understand why will the officer mention about the LA visa office :-\ I guess I would just wait a bit and see what happen next, before I make another call.

Hey Kavy, good to know that there is some update/progress in your case...but why nothing came up for me??? :( :( :(...I have finished my medicals on Jan 25th itself....20 days before your's.

Actually, it was written CPP-Ottawa as my visa office on my AINP Nomination Extension.

Let's see if I get any update this week. As of now nothing has changed on my ECAS.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

CIO siad, "Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing " in my AOR...but not specific about which VO.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

That is the same information ("Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing") I have in the email I received from CIO.

Called my panel physician and she says the medical gets sent to Ottawa then it is forwarded onto Sydney. I thought it should be the other way around...? :-\

Hi anser0131.....Actually as sarayu said they did mentioned that our files will be forwarded to "a" visa office but exactly which visa office they are talking about is not clear. And also all sorts of things are happening these days as the immigration minister is doing reforms to speed up the process as some inland applications are being forwarded to the U.S and some are forwarded to third world locations. So just keep your fingers crossed.

yes you are right, stream do count a lot. This is the reason why we are worried as we are all Fsw backlog nominees, three from Ontario and I am nominee of Alberta fsw backlog pilot and probably we are from same country as well.

I think you should send out CSEs to LVO. Actually I had sent a CSE (to check if I should sent UK PCC) in beginning of Feb and didnt receive any reply however MR arrived at end of the month. The other member who received MR also mentioned checking status from LVO to which they responded first and then MR came some days later. It may be that a CSE may expedite the MR email. No harm in trying.

Hi,

I see that your application has received speedy processing to date, we got our AOR from Sydney 23 Jan and to date no MR. What email address did you use to contact LVO. What dose CSE stand for?
