Just now schedule an appointment with doctor on Friday, Jan 25th at 9:30 am. The fee is $475 per adult and $200 for kids.

I don't think your health card covers this medical examination expenses. For me it's $475 per adult and $200 for kid.

Medical Cost vary depending where you do it from. OHIP does not cover it. I paid $300 for mine.

Hi,

You should choose CPP-Ottawa. Buffalo VO has shut down. I chose Detroit but the file went to CPP-Ottawa. I had the same confusion since there was no mention of any VO in my Nomination Certificate.

Wonderful.
For us, file is first delivered to our local office, then we have to wait for about a year (!!!) before getting the MR.

I'm not sure why. I assume they just process immigration requests very slowly at the Canadian embassy here. But I'm really only guessing. Sometimes, when you're lucky you only wait about 4 to 8 months

Hi Harvie,

There is no VISA OFFICE mentioned in the MR. Its just an email stating that you have to get Medicals done and the forms are attached as pdf. The mail comes from CIO Sydney and the results go to a Medical Center in Ottawa from where its sorted and sent to your Visa Office.

Hi all,

I went for my medical today here in Montreal. It took a little longer than an hour and was a relatively painless process. It sounds like I'm good to go, unless the blood tests show anything abnormal.
