I have a quick question. My friend applied to Sydney in June and he got his PPR yesterday. He is not in Canada and was not planning to come for couple of months because of medical issues. So my question is, can he send his passport from his home country to Ottawa? Or he have to come back to Canada?

Yes you can send it from anywhere.

No, if he is a Indian Passport holder he can not send a passport out side the contry, It is good talk to Indian High comm office they will tell you what to do.

I have seen applicant who had sent passport from Canada to India by mail on this blog, I also had same idea that we cannot send passport outside the country.....I would say ask CIC for proper answer...

Agreeeeee, but when times come for renew a passport than they are stuck on indian ambssy side...they charge some penalty for that and its more then 100 $.

Did you email CPP-O and asked for the reason of the delay?
