It seems MR request to applicant has been delayed somehow because there are so applicant also that havent had it yet. Normally it take 46 days after AOR to have MR.

Hopefully you hear something soon..

So, you mean that when applying from abroad it takes 46 days to get the MR, vs almost immediately when applying from inside Canada?

According to my own knowledge, applicant that choose a VO abroad tends to wait longer before they receive MR, once CIO send you AOR then they will transfer your application to the VO you selected so it takes a lot of time for it to be delivered and then examine..(Speaking based on experience with some applicants).

Normally it takes about 4-5 days for Ottawa to send MR but i guess it taking longer know.

All the best...

OK, thanks Ojeola. I guess we will just have to wait to see. I just hope the whole process all the way to the PR doesn't take more than a year.

Hi All.. Are there any other August applicants who had selected cpp-o (ottawa) as VO haven't received MR or am I the only one left out? Kindly appreciate your response. I know Ojeola said that in some cases it could 46 days, but just wanted to know if anyone else in the same situation as me.

Have never said it will take 46 days, all what i said was that it takes 4 to 6 days normally for Ottawa to send MR but i guess the issue of sending MR has been frozen for now or reduce because there are some applicants that haven't receive MR even after about 2 weeks of receiving AOR.

All the BEST to EVERYONE..

Hi, OJ......just need you to advice me on certain issues. I checked ecas and my address stated on the CIC database is incomplete. My application status simply states - Application Received, which means my file has not been transfered to my VO yet. Do I send CIO an email informing them of my complete/correct correspondence address or do I inform my Visa Office instead! or do I just wait until my file is transferred to my VO before I contact my VO? Your response will be highly Appreciated....

Application received simply means that it has been received, after your AOR your files should be in transit to your VO but it takes time especially given by the distance of such VO. if you check the ECAS section there suppose to be an option to update your address, once you update your address on ECAS this will automatically inform CIO / CIC about the update.

All the BEST...

On Ecas, it simply states - To change this mailing address, contact us. , and i when I click on it, it gives me an option of application from outside canada or inside canada, and when I click on outside canada, it redirects me to a place to choose a visa office and then an email address for the visa office to inform them of the change. But my challenge is, if my file has not been transfered to my visa office yet, how then do I correspond to them cos I'm sure they wont have my details.

Guys, today I have received AOR from my VO office and stated that due to high volume if files, they may not b able to process for 6 months so I m nog required to do n e follow ups till than. Is this common statement ? I thought our case is in fast track mode... But again same ans as it was in 2006 year.

My vo is New Delhi, India.

Has any body get n e VO stating this kind of statements.?

Will advice you to contact CIO or CIC by phone / email if you can and make sure you state you UCI / applicantion number.. Am very sure your application is on transit to your VO because you already receive AOR. It takes time to receive MR from visa office abroad because of the timeframe between CIO and the VO.

No, since you said the email came from your VO not CIO then the issue is with your VO. Maybe they already have a high volunme of files to deal with that why they specifically state it on your AOR.
