Hi Guys

I ordered my GCMS on march 21st along with my wife and got them in two weeks.

I also talked to my MP regarding my application and his words were : "Everything is complete except security, your file has been sent for security clearance on March 21st, 2013 and it'll take one or two months and you'll then get your Passport request".

On my GCMS its says "Cancelled" for security screening status and the date for this update is March 21st.
Q1)Does it mean they are not doing any security screening for me".
Q2)Do they do security screening for all dependents included in application.

Now i asked for status of application from CPP-Ottawa and they said "all the applications received after June 1st,2012 will be reviewed after august 31st and you should expect to hear from VO after that date".

Q3)Did anyone get the same reply as i did from CPP and got his/her passport request before the date mentioned in email.

I am worried about my spouse, she is back home and i am planning to apply for her visit visa if the processing will take that much time.

Hello,

Still kind of strange that you are still waiting for your PPR email from CPP-O, since you already contacted your MP and CPP-O is not providing any reasonable information will advice you to apply for your wife's visitor visa since you really want her here asap.

Although you may even end up getting the PPR before the visitor's visa. You can also apply for the GCMS again to know when last any activity was conducted on your file. Can really explain why your security check was cancelled.

All the best....

Just gonna follow the instructions on letter which is paying it and send them a receipt.

Congratulations, since they said you are exempt from sending Visa, the COPR will arrive in the mail when it issued. But make sure you confirm that you are really Visa exempt.

I heard i can also land though local Canada place office instead of going to US border.

Has any one experienced it?

It may take months if not weeks for you to schedule an appointment with a local CIC office, so your best option is to go to the border...

Finally, ECAS changed to in process, but since CC charged and LoA received I heard nothing, is that normal? what is next? and what si the time frame from your experience? friends, feedback please.

Normally medical suppose to be sent before In-Process but it all depends on how your application is being process. Cant really predict the time-frame since most CIC process would have change by now. Normally you should receive Medical Request from CIO within 2-3 weeks of receiving AOR that only if your VO is Ottawa. Will advice you to contact CIO by email.
