I just got this email from Ottawa--Does this mean passport request and if it is then do I send the passports of my wife and kids as well?

Case Status:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· XXXXX-PRINCIPAL APPLICANT
· Passport/Travel Document: Valid passport or travel document This must be received at this office by: 07/11/2013
·
· Updated details of your personal history since (April 25, 2012). Start with the most recent information, indicate your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (ie. Unemployed, studying, traveling, etc). Please include city/town or country and the name of the institution/company.

With the exception of Police Certificates, please submit the requested documents as scanned attachments and send to the following e-mail address:

ottpilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca

All requested documents/information must be accompanied by the outgoing correspondence we have sent to you (i.e. this e-mail or a printed copy of this letter).

Thanks
ram

Hi there! You send what they are asking. You have to send your passport not just a photocopy, that is what they were asking you. You might received another email today requesting your dependents passport.

Anyone knows how will the strike impact our application?

This might be the hardest PR application... First visa office closed, then strike...

It will affect applications in Manila, but most work was done by local hires in Manila.

Applications being handled in Ottawa, should not affect.

Thanks a lot! this information makes feel much better :)

The new update from CIC says that the walk out of office in both Canada and overseas.
“Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.”
Does this mean the ones who already has "in process" in ECAS will not be affacted?

Thanks.

Most of the passport request takes 3 weeks. Have you send your passports already? I am thinking, you can add a cover letter about your trip and the ticket if you have it already.
