I was incredlibly happy to have found this forum. Really helpful information, particularly the Track sheet. I am a few days away from sending my application to CIO (Nova Scotia).

Believing you mentioned in previous threads that you send both fees at the same time. As the Fee Payment Form (IMM5620E) is in pdf, did you simply put $490 as the amount on an additional Fee Payment Form (IMM5620E)? I intend to pay by credit card.

I also wondered if I could join your track sheet although it is for applicant April applicants.

Firstly anybody is free to join the TS.

Secondly yes I paid both fee at the same time. What I did was to create a table just like the IMM5620E and cut out and pasted in on plain copy of the IMM5620E and now made a copy of that specifically for the RPRF fee.

Great, thanks. Becoming increasingly fearful about making mistakes with the application.
Here are my details but will update it once the application is sent and received.

Visa Office: Nairobi, Kenya
PNP: QSW
Stream: Skilled Worker

Hi Guys,

As I said earlier, my application was received at CIO on May 24, 2012. I have received an email from the attorney yesterday saying that they have received communication from visa office asking for the birth certificates/no birth record certificates/affidavit for myself and my wife. In case if it's not possible to obtain any of these certificates, we can also submit our school leaving certificate instead. But the school leaving certificate must show our name, date of birth and mother or father or both parents names.

Actually we have included our birth certificates which we got from Indian consulate. Canadian visa office says that they don't accept the birth certificates issued by a consulate based on passport information.

I will post here my updates.

Regards,
Sarayu.

Did they send your application back to your lawyer? I had the same situation like yours. They didn't accept the Indian embassy issued birth certificate based on PP info. They returned my application back. Luckily, I had my SSC (std. 10 level) showing my name, DOB & father's name. I resent te entire application package with this new info. And it was accepted.
Else, you can get an affidavit from a lawyer stating the non-availability of your birth certificate. It can be done anywhere I think. Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Hi Edmontonbound,

I don't know whether they sent the complete application back to the attorney or not. But I just got an email from the attorney requesting for the birth certificates. We have school leaving (SSC) certificates, but they don't show full names of mine/my wife and our parents. I have no birth record certificate that I got from municipal council. I have to get the same for my wife. Thanks for your post.

Sarayu.

Are you in India currently? If yes then it is very easy to get the BC from Municipal Corporation office of the state you born or the state your passport says you were born. I suggest going in person to any of these offices and they will provide you the details and fees is quite nominal too.

Hi ASJ,

I am in USA right now. I have no birth record certificate. We are trying to get the same or an affidavit for my wife. Anyway, thanks a lot for your info.

Hi! I am new to this forum. I will be applying under the General Stream. I am glad that I found this forum. I will be submitting our papers once I get the result from my ielts test which I will be taking this July 21st. My question is for general stream since it would require 2 sponsors, can my second cousin and his wife do that. They will be submitting separate MAS for me. When are we going to pay the fees? Is it after receiving LOA? Your input and feedback will be highly appreciated. Thanks and God Bless!!!

Though I sent my SSC, I obtained affidavit from India as a back up. My mom got them (one for attesting my DOB and the other for non-availability of the BC). It took me about 4 days to get them here from India. I didn't use in the end though.

Yes both of them can signed your MAS and you dont pay any fee during the provincial part of your application until after your LOA. You pay at the point of sending you federal application to Nova Scotia.

It varies from VO to Vo. Yes I will add you to the TS once you submitted. Check the timeline on the TS for different VOs.

@ KOOLKARMAGUY,

Are you able to log in to your Ecas. If yes, is it showing when your application was received? Rest of your details have been updated. ;)
