My friend was asked to submit finger print 4 months after her Ecas appears "Medi result received". Wondering if that will be our next move? But seems like not everyone get this request.

I had also got a request for RCMP FP report on sep 26.2012...
I got AOR and Medical on April 25.2012 and did medical on 2nd may

I have sent the RCMP FP and PCC from India yesterday...Please update when ur friend gets PPR or any other correspondence

Just to update -I contacted the CIC and after 10 days they send me and email which is copied below


This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is in process in Ottawa. No further action is required by you at this time.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

The standard processing time for your immigration category is 16 months

In the first email they send me after they received my application it was mentioned that it takes 10 months and now 16 months-It is very frustrating since my work permit is about to expire
any updates from other members?

I think its just wait and watch....Following is my time line.

AINP Application filed: Dec 24, 2012
AINP Approval: jan 22, 2012
Application to CIO: FEb 06, 2012
Visa Office: CPP-O
AOR & Med Req: Apr 25, 2012
Meds Done: Apr 28, 2012
Meds Updated:may be around June , 2012
RCMP request/PCC request/Application IN PROCESS: Sep26,2012

My WP expires today,, but I have already applied for its extension in september..and have plans to back home in January 2012..

HI FRIENDS....
AS PER CIC APPLICATION GUIDE... THEY ARE DEMANDING AT LEAST 6 MONTHS VALIDITY DEMAND DRAFT IN CAD DOLLARS FOR APPLICATION FEES........

BUT HERE IN INDIA.....As per RBI guidelines, with effect from April 1, 2012, the validity period of Cheques, Demand Drafts, Pay Orders and Banker's Cheques will be reduced from 6 months to 3 months, from the date of issue of the instrument.....

SO.......PLEASE ADVICE....
ANY ONE FROM INDIA, WHO CLEARED THIS PHASE....

Thanks alot Toyeeen, it's really good to know that Medical Request is now sent via email, as least that will limit delays and issues of missing mails in the post. Wishing you all the best...!

@gurminder.. draft in rupees will be for 3months ..you may go ahead ...get it done just before you send ..usually theyencash in few days(2-4 weeks) ...in case you still want a six month ...get thedraft made in CAD ..they usually issue 6 month..check with your bank

for filling cic application....
1 weather we have to write something (like name of applicant etc) on the back side of demand draft...
2 weather we have to staple the demand draft or pack it lose in the envelope....
3 weather we have to use black or blue ink pen for the signature on the various application forms for cic application.....

1 Write your full name as written in the passport and DOB on back side of demand draft
2 Use small clip and enclose DD with the cover letter (avoid staple)
3 For writing use black or blue ink pen. I used black pen for signature on application form

as u r frm india...could u suggest what National Identity Document they are demanding in generic IM0008ENU_2D form....as in india vter card, addhar card does not have any expairy date.....

No need to fill National Identity Document. Validate you forms and check for all required fields. I think it is not mandatory, so better avoid.

On DD backside also mention your file number of the province nominated you.
