Congratulation DAEMON!

Question. My test is on May 31st in Toronto. My question is what supporting documents besides the ones mentioned in the test invitation letter should I take? The thing is even though I meet the citizenship requirement, during 4 years before June 2015 I have left Canada 2 times for a long period of around 6 months and I have also travelled many times for short periods of time. This makes me worried that they might give me a questionnaire so I want to avoid this by having good evidence like (plane) tickets etc. Any recommendations?

My second question is that I have left Canada in the past year for almost 10 days, this should be fine, right?

As far as travel was concerned, I had ordered my outbound exits from cbsa long time ago but no point in ordering them now as its too late. Another thing you can do is take the photocopy of all the stamps from your passport. they asked me about them and good thing i had it. Don't worry about it too much. I believe your application was assessed regarding your travel and therefore you are writing the test. Interview will be just for 5-10 minutes in which they will ask you random questions just to check your English speaking skills.

Great.. Now its time to study.. Study hard. The exam will be fairly easy if you read the books atleast 2-3 times. And solve online questions. From citizenshipcounts.ca and yourlibrary.ca.

Hi Daemon, passed the test today 20/20.. and was told that I will get the oath invite in 4-6 weeks after the officer wraps up the paperwork.. hope their timelines are accurate...

Hi,

I have a question about expired passports, I would appreciate if you share your experience!

Can we apply for citizenship with an expired passport? If anybody applied with expired passports please share your experience!!!

Thank you in advance!

Congrats Icebergmoma!

Good luck to you both sharkhacks!

Imgrnt16, I didn't face this problem but read posts on this forum where applications were returned when passport page copies were not shared for the relevant period. What those posts mentioned was that the applicants reapplied with a cover letter clearly stating that the did not have a passport because they did not renew their passport .so you may want to provide a clear cover letter when you apply.

Hi Folks,

My ECAS recently got updated mentioning "DECISION MADE" but haven't received the letter in the mail. Does anyone know how long it takes?

Probably depends on how long the queue is. Decision made means they put your files onto a "oath to be scheduled" shelf. How did the interviewer inform you on test day?

The interviewer didn't ask me much but right after the test I was told that I would be receiving RQ. I sent the RQ as early as I could sometime back in Jan 2016.

Oh, then it probably depends on where your files are.
My friend who was ahead of me got a notice of one month and she received the invitation in two weeks.
My notice was two months but it's already 2.5 months and I am still waiting.
Seems like the queue is longer and longer, as I have seen some people got a notice of 2-4 months now. :-X

Received Oath invitation in mailbox today!!! Finally!! :D

Hi Folks

I want to ask if the C6 bill passed?

My wife will be applying for citizenship soon, so i assume that she would apply with 3/5 years?

Any idea and updates please.

Cheers
